nope we pretty much agree on this hand except theres no way in hell the 44 should ever call, hes up against a bigger pair in enough situations there that his slight advantage vs ak aq is rendered useless.

No shit..we agree on something? And remember, you asked me how I woulda played the AQc, not whether or not button shoulda folded his 44. Of course he shoulda folded...but in cards, you often won't be facing the most logical of decision making.

so you got 10 15 bbs left and the button raises you get aq big blind and you fold? you guys take these books too literally, you need to use your head a little more.

I completely agree, and because you were in early position, you could've blindly bet 1,300 chips on the flop to steal if the you missed the flop - putting the pressure on the caller.
The quote above makes a good point about your post flop play. Also, the goal should always be to win the tournament, and winning small pots may get you in the money, but you will not take first. And as you know, there are huge $ disparities between first and making the money.

this is a very good point i think way too many guys are more interested in hanging on to try and money instead of trying to the win the tournament. if the first place that gets money is a lot of money to you, then you are probably in a tournament that the buyin was too high for you, the exception of course is if you are in via satellite.
