There are plenty of stories being told by insurrectionists while standing before a judge. This lady, Annie Howell from PA, relayed that she had been promised a job in the WH for her activity get Trump reelected.
But that didn’t transpire and now Howell has been sentenced to 60 days in jail, and this has left her worried that she may lose custody of her child.

A jury found Guy Wesley Reffitt, the first Capitol riot participant to stand trial, guilty on all five counts after just a few hours of deliberation on Tuesday in a clean victory for prosecutors going after the rioters.
Reffitt was charged with five felonies for his part in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on Capitol Hill, including arming himself with a gun, attempting to interfere with an official government proceeding and intimidating his teenage children to discourage them from cooperating with investigators.

Are we also going after all the looters and rioters from the entire summer the same as the Capital day? Or do politicians only care about riots when it happens close to them? Should we treat the rioters from the summer months of destruction all over the country the same as these Capital intruders? Doesn't seem like that's the case. Democrats were afraid of Jan 6th so they go after the intruders, but seem to have let all the democratic rioters from the summer months go free. What kind of message does that send?
Kind of like how democratic politicians don't seem to give a crap about sky rocketing crime in their cities. Probably because they do not live close to the crime. Out of sight, out of mind. They only show action when their poll numbers fall. Kind of sad that's how our politicians act. Reaction instead of pro action and always too little too late with them.
Midnight1 is right. Capitol riot is no mere protest and cannot be compared to peaceful lawful protests. Polls show most Americans condemn capitol riot but support black lives matter protests. Over 90% of BLM protests are peaceful without any injury or damage. No single BLM protest is as violent as the capitol riot. Unlike BLM protests, FBI considers capitol riot as an intentional terrorist attack.
I want these traitors to pay the piper for their actions. This Reffitt character went before a jury with little or no defense for his actions.
I've read the judge may give him a severe sentence so any other traitor that comes before him will think twice about pleading Not Guilty & wasting the time of the court.

A grand jury in Colorado has indicted a county election clerk who sowed doubt about the 2020 presidential election, alleging she was part of a “deceptive scheme” to breach voting system technology that is used across the country, according to the indictment made public Wednesday.
Tina Peters, a Republican elected in 2018 to oversee elections in Mesa County, was charged with seven felony and three misdemeanor counts, including attempting to influence a public servant, criminal impersonation and first-degree official misconduct. Also facing charges in the case is Deputy Clerk Belinda Knisley.

As long as the punishment is commesurate with the crime I'm ok with a fair sentence.
I don't feel it's right though to exact an even heavier penalty just to set an example, because it also sets a precedent.

What do you consider a fair sentence for someone who stabs a police officer with a flagpole or tries to gouge out an officer's eyes?
Is either of these crimes less evil than the other?
What about the leaders of the insurrectionists; should they get more or less time?
How about those who funded/paid for additional weapons to be purchased? What should their punishment be?
What do you consider a fair sentence for Michael Byrd (for what the fbi and doj didn't ask him) for shooting a unarmed woman and he said he saw no gun, on top of that I think he was dumb enough to leave his gun somewhere before or Matthew Rosenberg and all the fbi guys in the riot and I mean are you going to sentence them for what they did? We all knew they where in the crowd helping to get things going.
I think you need to do a little more research I'm not a traitor to your country and I don't burn or steal from stores, look it up watch the tape, so the FBI our traitors?

2-5 yrs (first-offender, no priors) depending on severity of injury to officer
3-7 yrs (with criminal history) adjusted upward upon severity of injury to officer
The ring leaders and instigators (based on level of involvement) minimum 2 yrs up to 10 yrs with no possibilty of parole!!
Co-conspirators and non-combatant accomplices minimum 2 yrs up to 7 yrs
All convicted would also lose their priviledges to ever own a gun (of any kind), associate with any criminal gang or group with anti-government platforms, or known domestic-violence organization, and be forbidden to ever run for public office.
Is that more or less in your ballpark as well?
