    The question is,, can either side stop the printing. Joe wants to pay off college debt and not have any consequences of massive inflation. At some point the system has to break and i think we are getting closer with the rates climbing.

    Everything costs too much nowadays , agreed , even the price of our souls , because we are mortgaging the future generations’ well-being because we are selling ourselves short ….

    By not figuring out how to do the right things now that will be fair , but that will hurt a little bit on both sides ,

    because compromise is indeed a bitch that neither party wants to date because she just blabs and blabs and blabs ……

    remember this though : the as of yet unborn people of our future will be innocent , but marred by our sins , even though we originally committed them .

    And the loop and the cycle continues on till infinity …..

    might as well start saying your prayers now gentlemen because you’ve all been sentenced to one million Our Father’s and 488 ,000 Hail Mary’s , and no speeding through that shit because I want you to clearly and diligently pronounce every word .

    good day peace_5

    Yes when they create new fresh cash out of thin air it really gets on my nerves , like the lady that usually sits in the pew behind me at church on Sundays who can’t sing for shit …

    but what am I supposed to do ? Tell her that she sounds like a cat that’s dying a slow death ? It’s God’s House for Christ’s sake ! That kind of stuff is frowned upon . peace_5

    Aint no way he actually gonna forgive all of college debts, maybe fed ones(even that is questionable), but there are a bunch of privately owned college debts that he aint got no way dealing with. Still, I've seen so many grads saying that they are "not paying their college debts 'cause Joe is gonna forgive those anyway"

    That does seem like the perception in some cases. Kind of like the dreamers with Obama....they thought he was going to make every illegal in America with a certain pedigree legal. That didn't pan out and they were left scrambling. We had an employee who had an illegal spouse and she paid 10's of thousands of dollars for an attorney and he was on his way to becoming a citizen and because Obama made an inclination to the dreamers they stopped the process hoping he would push him through. She was legal he was not. All he had left to do was establish residency for 6 months or so in Mexico to become a citizen of the US and she didn't want him to do so. No kids together or anything just a marriage. They waited and waited for Obama to save them with the passing of the act that never happened. Because he waited so long to establish residency in Mexico the paperwork process became obsolete and they wasted all that money and effort once Obama didn't save them. What a shame that he was so close to becoming legal. Now he still lives here but illegally. new_unpleased

    When sleepy doesn't pay off their debts, they'll just blame republicans with the help of dems pushing the fight to blame the right. Such a bad move to let that college debt just accumulate. That interest will keep their debts in tact for decades. Such a bad message to send to people about having debts "cancelled". Obama did the same when he ran with the left pushing for "free health care" when in reality, it was just a mandatory tax. I will give the left credit, they are good as deception and lies and people follow it. They are great at tricking their own for the sake of votes. I can't wait to see the circus that will be leading up to Nov. What other "free" stuff will they give away for the sake of a vote?

    @BigGame90

    Hard to imagine they can spin it as, Republicans spending the US into bankruptcy. Will be difficult even for Trump to fix the next cycle with all the debt and destruction that was done to our great economy in just 3.5 short years.

    All anyone can do is stay positive and hope the adults get back in and fix it.

    I may have got it all wrong.... maybe Jeo Bidet was never going to be replaced by the regime leading up to November 2024.  Perhaps the regime is willing to sacrifice 4 years in order to let Trump take the blame for what they know is to come.  2028 would be an easy layup for them and they could restart the cycle from a low, be economic heroes and ensure 8 more years of power.

    Naw.... too much going on right now in the world for them to give it up.  They'll fight, scrap and claw to the very end....gonna get uglier than it already is...

    "We give government the right to print money because we trust elected officials not to abuse that right, not to debase that currency by inflating. Foreigners hold our dollars because they trust our pledge that these dollars are equivalent to gold. And trust is everything"

    A gauge of inflation, the US Personal Consumption Expenditures price index, rose to 2.7% for the 12 months ended in March, CNN reported. The rate was above economists’ expectations of 2.6% and February’s reading of 2.5%. “We’re moving in the wrong direction, again, on the inflation story,” Ben Ayers, Nationwide’s senior economist, told CNN in an interview.

    That would be a Rush Limbaugh approach as the Dems destroyed all they can prior to the 2024 election. Ruin everything beyond belief, allow Trump and the Republicans 4 years to try fix it and claim it was the Dems that made stuff better. Wash, rinse and repeat and nothing changes.

    The bigger problem I see is, even trump may not be able to fix the horror show that has happened in the past 3.5 years.

    Looks like inflation is headed north again. I doubt they will have few rate cuts and possible hikes.

    Absolutely.  Look at the latest 'dot-plot'.  As I said the other day, some are already speculating on a raise.

    They certainly need to raise it.  peace_5

    Most of the drivers of higher food prices have gone away except for labor.  But consumers overestimate inflation because they aren't comparing prices a year ago but rather a longer period.   US is better off than in many countries because of low inflation and unemployment.  US dollar has been gaining strength against other currencies.  Dollar is strong because US economy is healthier.

     Imagine what happens when Trump gets energy costs down again and makes the tax cuts permanent.

    We can get back to lifting all boats and a Great America.

    Go America!

      Many were predicting that the Fed would cut rates as many as three times this year. In the latest meeting, FC Powell has decided, once again, against cutting rates because inflation is still a big problem. Some even anticipate a rate hike.an_light

    @THEMUGG

     This administration cannot figure out what to do. Time for Trumponomics and get this Country moving again with US jobs. Not these part-time and Government jobs that are a drain on the Country.
