Has nothing to do with anything other than diverse counties, large population centers tend to vote democrat. Also, what i've learned in the early days of these styles of "protests"....riots.... when Oakland was one of the epicenters is people travel from far and wide to take place in these demonstrations. There were plenty of people coming into Oakland from the more conservative regions of the state. Politicizing this is a mistake, especially given that the left has made this about Trump far less than I would've expected. We need to find commonality in all of this. What that officer did was flat out wrong but the wheels of justice are moving faster than i've ever seen in such a case. And these displays, torching police cars, police stations, are not the actions to be taken. All it is doing is drawing battlelines for a war that can not be won through violence.

You can make excuses. Say he tried to pass a phony $20. Say he was on drugs. Say he had medical conditions. Say he resisted. The fact is he doesn't die if an officer charged to protect and serve doesn't put his knee into the back of the neck of an already cuffed man. He was cuffed. There were two officers already pinning him down. He pleaded. Bystanders pleaded. A fucking officer pleaded. He decided to ignore all. It's not a justifiable homicide in the line of duty. It's murder. He killed a man as he begged for his life after responding to a call for a counterfeit $20. Now white people love to quote the number of white people killed by police officers. Find me the case where it these killings start with a counterfeit $20. Or a routine traffic stop of an innocent man, ect. White people get killed for fighting with cops. Shooting at cops. Not passing bogus dubs. Not selling loosie cigarettes. Slim, you know I respect you but miss me with that, "Well, you shouldn't have been breaking the law...." bullshit.
p.s. Another black man was killed by police in Louisville Sunday night. A group, not protesting, had gathered in a part of the city they gather in every Sunday night for food and music. The dead man barbeques for the event. Again, while there was no protest going on, the police and national guard were called in to enforce curfew. They claim they were fired on first. We may never know since none of them activated their body cams. Find me the story of the white person killed for breaking a curfew.

Basically in parts where they knew the citizens of those neighborhoods wouldn't loot their own backyards, but the threat of looting from outsiders was always a possibility.
In turn, people are burning their own neighborhoods. Their have been only a few minor injuries to police that I have heard of so far. If those police were to remain in the hood to you know, do their jobs, there'd be blood spilled on both sides. And if any looters got hurt, killed or arrested, why should the police be a part of more fuel to the "racism" fire?
