If you step back and take a good look at it, One can see democracy as we know it in danger of taking over and all but outlawing opposition parties “ The Vermin “. After that there will be a fight inside the R party and MAGA taking total control and then deciding which policies they enact in their new reactionary permanent dictatorship…..Never forget the Electoral College doesn’t need the majority! The next step could be a mix of letting the oligarchs “ Billionaires “ steal the economy while the racists and religious wackos run the civil society into the ground and meantime the defense establishment bleeds the taxpayers white !
Remember the majority of the MAGA base are folks who could name 10 Presidents or 5 Vice Presidents most could have cared less about politics before the OBama administration! This not an informed group to say the least but angry one that can be lead to violence with a simple speech ! …Now I know many who read this will say I’m Nutz but think about ….they already have control of the Supreme Court, at least for the next generation. If they win the house and the senate at the next election they will solidify control of the courts. And while they aren’t directly in control of the thousands of different police departments in the country, they certainly have their support and undying loyalty. I see no danger of them “destroying themselves.” I see the long game of capturing institutions and delegitimizing federal government as the goal, and I think they are well along in that plan….. these are the type of steps that lead from Democracy to Fascism or at least Totalitarianism. It scares the hell out of me!!!
I’m not a religious person but it’s not a far fetched conspiracy theory that MAGA hats are the mark of the beast. Of course the beast is Trump ….just listen to what comes out of his mouth daily!……The writing is on the wall for the fall of this Great Land!

Never forget it is " your" party that is putting on a " show trial" ( and not just one) to put a political opponent behind bars. No, this is not Russia, this is " your party" looking to exercise its power over the voting interests of the people.
You call "" that"" democracy ??
You lefties are so detached from the real world...

Yeah, I agree with you. You are nutz..

None of this really makes any sense if this is meant to be an analysis. It sounds mostly like rhetoric from a hardcore Leftist that is running for office and is trying to frighten people in to voting for them based solely on that.
You did not give any examples of what would be done if your candidate(s) win. Just potential 'vague' scare thoughts.
You cannot throw around scare terms like 'dictatorship' without good reason or examples to back it up.
I do not think you really have much at all to worry about. I really think most of your bogeymen will stay in the closet for quite some time. At least until the Right decides on better candidates and better messaging.
However, what exactly are your top three or four issues you are worried about being changed drastically if every office suddenly became Republican? And exactly why?
Do you even understand whether it would be good or bad or neutral?

1) Trump has on many occasions with great admired Putin & XI ‘ s status in there countries position
2) Trump is losing his mind towards reality and the battle with his inner self!
3) Do you really want a scenario like the one I presented….of oligarchs ? As far as I’m concerned it’s time the government comes down on them….Let them pay there way…Because they don’t…Not even close ….yet the military that is paid for by working class stiffs dollar's to protect the environment they prosper in! In most cases there kids will never shed a once of blood for this land !As they never had …Bone spur’s … It’s time to get it right! Just think Jonas Saulk who discoverer a vaccine for polio and didn’t patent it so everyone could get it and be spared the horrible effects of it! That’s an American and he never worried where his next meal would come from as he lived well…Hero!

You will have to provide the exact quotes AND context you are talking about. These guys are admired and respected world leaders by folks for various reasons. That does not mean they think they are good people or their way of governing is good. You can be a very good and nice person but certainly not a leader to be admired; so the converse can be true as well.
At this point it does not make sense because he has not even served a second term and probably will not. Now, if he were trying to get around or change that limitation, I could see your point.
Unless you are a psychologist that has examined him yourself, then this is pure speculation and simply your biased opinion.

I dismiss it out of hand because there are too many checks and balances in place to help prevent it. I dismissed it when folks on the Right said Obama intended it. I am sure some of the guys get enamored with the power and want to keep it. But none of them are the types of guys that seem to attempt it by doing what would be required. Their life is good enough after office. I would see one of the longterm Congressmen that never want to move on to be more apt to this than a businessman or a brand-new politician like Obama and Trump were.
I do not think you have a firm grasp on what the majority of the Right 'cares' about. There are not nearly enough of them that would allow this sort of thing. In fact, quite the opposite, simply by human nature people are jealous and envious and do not want people to do way better than them. The Left would rather have big government running things which is just as bad if you isolate it to the problem you seem to worry about -- a group of folks making the decisions and controlling policy, etc. You want the government to 'come down' on someone but really show no reason for it. But there are reasons for folks to 'come down' on the government BUT you would not be for that.
Even as late as the first half of Trump's term the whole Congress was run by the Republicans and nothing much got accomplished. So, no way something as drastic as what you are talking about could happen without huge pushback -- even if the whole government was controlled by the Republicans.
I mean look at the recent Covid policies that were overwhelmingly put in place and even had support by a lot on the Right. The folks saw it for some of the 'control' and things that you seem to be worried about. Then what happened -- the leaders saw they could not keep forcing that on people without huge problems.
The USA was built on that very sort of thing with a Revolution.

You cannot throw around scare terms like 'dictatorship' without good reason or examples to back it up.

What is needed is a candidate that we believe can and should make life better for families across our nation. That stands for fairness, justice, and equality for all by standing up for all middle-class Americans and those struggling to get there. I could care less if it’s Newson Manchin Biden or Desantis as they believe in the constitution and the rule of law. What we don’t need is a President that 1) embraces division and racial discord, 2) praised autocrats and attacked allies 3) politicized the administration of justice.

What do you mean by this? What do you mean? Since when? Relatively folks are FAR better than they were just 10, 20, or 50 years ago. They may be slightly worse I the last 2-3 years. But if you think you need a candidate to make it better -- can I assume you think the current one made it worse?

For example, we do not need another divider like Obama on racial issues? I can agree with that.
Who praised autocrats exactly again -- with context? Who attacked allies? How and when did that happen?
You mean do not politicize it like Biden is doing now with many offices or like Obama did with the IRS?. I can agree with that.

No other ex-president has so many former associates opposed to his re-election. Former chairman Michael Steel of Republican national committee warns that Trump is a threat to democracy and national security. In new McCarthyism, he promises retribution and would weaponize government against everyone. The Economist warns that Trump is the greatest global danger in the future. Another 4 years of Trump would be more damaging than his previous term because he would seek unchecked power by replacing competent officials with loyalists. C-span and Siena college survey of presidential experts already rank Trump among the worst presidents in US history.

I was not a huge fan of Obama BUT I would take him over Trump 6 six days a week and twice on Sunday!
My problem is right now is that people with access to wealth are having an outsized impact on government. Whether they should have that wealth is another argument entirely, but I don’t think it should be controversial to say that a billionaire shouldn’t have more influence on government than a blue-collar worker living paycheck to paycheck. Both are citizens of the same government and both should be expected to contribute their share to the common welfare of all. Instead, the rich are pushing policies that negatively impact everyone else, to the point that a breakdown of social order doesn’t seem unlikely. I personally believe that Democrats are more willing to correct this problem…Trump is the poster boy of the rich skating there responsible to pay there fare share! There is doubt in my mind every single person on the list of Forbes 400 and 10,000 below are screwing the country on a remarkable amount of money each and every year….And I’m not speaking about deducting a extra pair of work shoes..I’m saying millions! If the far right wants to scream bloody murder over the deficit they should start with there largest campaign contributor's

Do you mean like the FBI raiding Henry Cuellar's house right before his primary? Or maybe Eric Adams getting raided by the FBI. Both Dems, both criticized Biden for open borders.
Or maybe the FBI swat team raid on pro-lifer in Philly, guns drawn on him and his family.
Or maybe the FBI seizing the cell phone of that dufuss, the my pillow guy. For what reason? James O'Keefe phone?
Or maybe the IRS making a personal house call to Matt Taibbi the very day he is in Washington DC testifying to Congress on the Twitter Files.
Or maybe the IRS armed raid on a Montana gun store.
THE PRECEDENTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SET. ARE YOU NOW WORRIED IT COULD SWING THE OTHER WAY? SHOULDA THOUGHT ABOUT THAT WHEN SETTING THE PRECEDENTS.
