Political scientist Norman Ornstein warns 2024 election may be the most destructive in US history.  Bad and incompetent presidents have been elected before in the past.  But no previous president has promised to be a dictator and threatens US constitution.  2024 election is a tragedy as the system has failed to hold Trump accountable.  Americans are likely to regret it in the future.

 Excellent point by that political scientist, Ornstein!  Ultimately he may be proven accurate, although, for the sake of the country, I hope not an_getaway

YOUR points are spot on as usual. an_clap   Terflon Don escapes justice for his obvious crimes.  However he is ranked by Poli-Sci experts as the *WORST* president in American history - and by a wide margin I might add - for valid reasons, which may or may not be exemplified during the coming term. Two good things in our/his favor will be

1/  It's improbable, even for trump, to downplay and completely phuckup the response to another killer pandemic,

and

2/  he won't have a "boots-on-the-ground" war which the republicans dragged us into 20 earlier for trump to allow to continue for a full years at a cost to our taxpayers of $300 MILLION per DAY.
