A dubious milestone for trump and his republican accomplices:
250,000 Americans have SUFFERED then DIED from covid
thanks to trump's pandemic mismanagement and denialism!
Hundreds of thousands more have suffered but managed to survive. trump's accountability has now surpassed the COMBINEDtotal of all:
- Americans killed in 9/11, plus - Americans killed in the Gulf War, plus - Americans killed in Iraq, plus - Americans killed in Afghanistan, plus - Americans killed by the Swine Flu pandemic, plus - Americans killed on the beaches of Normandy, plus - the 36,574 Americans killed in the Korean conflict, plus - the 58,220 Americans killed in Vietnam, plus - the 116,708 Americans killed in WW1
... and trump's death tolls just keep piling up.
On average, an American suffers & dies from the deadly contagion that trump allowed to proliferate through the country, every :50 seconds!

You are obsessed with trump. Everyone knows he could have done better, but did he send sick people back into the nursing homes when their was an empty hospital boat in ny? Dem states nj and pa also sent sick patients back into nursing homes? Trump forced them? repub states like florida had common sense and did not do this. Over half the deaths in usa are from the nursing homes.
Is trump also president of italy and all of europe and england where thousands have died?
Did trump tell china to cover up how bad it was and block flights from wuhan to bejing but allow flights out of wuhan to europe and usa?
Fauci is on video in late febuary saying the virus wouldn't be bad here. That was trumps advisor does he have any fault in this? Should trump not have trusted fauci?
You will miss trump. what will you complain about when biden takes over?

US military reports record number of trump-enabled virus cases
There are currently about 25,000 active Covid-19 cases in the ranks, and another 44,390 service members have recovered from the virus, according to the Pentagon. The number of military cases has grown over the last few weeks as case counts have increased in the general population. Source: https://tinyurl.com/yy8jkvub

U.S. surpasses 250,000 coronavirus deaths as virus mortality rate surges
The death rate has been accelerating in recent weeks as cases have been surging across the country.
In the last four weeks there has been a 42 percent increase in the number of fatalities, from a weekly average of 821 per day in early October to last week’s average of 1,167 DEATHS per day.
"Right now, we are in an absolutely dangerous situation that we have to take with the utmost seriousness," Dr. Brett Giroir, the Trump administration's coronavirus testing czar, told MSBNC's Andrea Mitchell. "This is NOT crying wolf! This is the WORST rate of rise in cases that we have seen in the pandemic in the United States."

the fact that mr."it will soon be down to zero" then f--ked it all up is not faucis fault

EXACTLY, kelly!!
If a republican is walking through the park and sees a bully beating up on a tiny girl, one would *EXPECT* the republican to do the right thing and intervene on behalf of the little girl.
If the republican refuses to do so, does that makes us wrong and therefore accountable because we believed the republican would do the right thing??????

The grim numbers were piling up as President Donald Trump continued to balk at conceding the election to President-elect Joe Biden. As a result, the Democrat’s Covid-19 team has been trying to prepare to take over the responsibility of fighting the pandemic without access to information in the hands of the White House coronavirus task force led by Vice President Mike Pence.
“Our team cannot communicate with them,” Dr. David Kessler, a member of Biden’s advisory committee, said. “The sooner the Biden transition team can meet with officials working on these questions, the more seamlessly the transition will be the American people.”
And a lot of the information the Trump team is sitting on is dire.

The virus trump allowed to proliferate through the United states is now killing more Americans daily
More than 2,000 American deaths were recorded by Johns Hopkins University on Thursday -- the highest number since early May. And as the virus runs unabated across US communities, experts warn the coming weeks will likely be brutal and the pandemic's death toll will keep climbing. By December 18, more than 2,300 Americans could be losing their lives daily, according to the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). "We expect daily deaths to reach a peak of over 2,500 a day in mid-January," the IHME modeling team wrote on Thursday.

He suggested, squandered an opportunity to get to grips with the public health emergency at a time when that was more achievable :

No-lockdown Sweden toughens up restrictions as coronavirus cases rise
CNBC Sweden, infamous for not imposing a lockdown during the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic, appears to be changing tack and implementing stricter measures as a second wave of infections takes hold and hospitalizations rise.
On Monday, it announced that public gatherings of more than eight people were no longer allowed, marking a shift in tone for the Scandinavian country that has so far largely relied on voluntary measures and guidance during the pandemic.

I believe the only thing that will save our azzes is a vaccine: https://time.com/5913372/covid-19-vaccines-guide/
Ultimately, down the road, yes.
But in the forseeable future while we wait for those vaccines to become WIDELY distributed (March- April) we can anticipate 2,000 to 3,000 deaths EVERY SINGLE DAY for at least 4 more months!
Even after the vaccines become available that does NOT mean everyone or even HALF the populace will take it.
Which means more deaths will continue after March-April.
(bearing in mind the vaccines themselves are NOT 100% effective - so some will still die)

(bearing in mind the vaccines themselves are NOT 100% effective - so some will still die)

the scary part to me is I see an exponential rise in testing (Delaware) bc of Thanksgiving. I see a rise in positive results but the % testing positive was holding steady at around 4.5%. That says many, many people are positive and don't know it. Contact tracing says restaurants, religious services, house parties (fuking idiots) are the top problem areas. I assume these are the problems in other states as well.
