to enter a compromise the founding fathers discussed this and debated this to great lengths and then compromising to a lower house elected on populous basis and an upper house elected on two per states then the states total house members was determined to be that states electorate.

It was achieved by making a 3/5 slave vote for plantation to a one man vote further amended to include one citizen over 21 with women's suffrage and again when lowering the voting age to 18.
It is possible that the will of the people and the subsequent 3/4 ratification to remove the college, but don't hate the players hate the rules.
