@unplucked_gem Well then you are just aimlessly throwing out blame and fake observations then. If you do not acknowledge that Trump introduced the Hitler topic himself but try and smear members here for referring to HIS content then how can you expect impartial treatment? If you are going to try and cry foul then you do need context and you do need proper relevant facts. So yup if you call me and the site out I am going to correct you with truth, but hey you just want to cry foul and partisan blame and when it is pointed out you are wrong with your analysis you say that you do not want context and it doesnt matter. Sounds like solid rational thinking there...or not.

So a video is required as the only source of truth/proof huh? Ok you are entitled to your opinion. I trust the source of the quote, I also trust that it is something completely stupid that Trump would say.
Try and pull a deflect, you like doing that. I see zero reason why the source of the details has a reason or is willing to take the risk against the TNC in saying it if it werent legit.

Ask for proof of something and it's deflection. Democrats have gotten by for so long on "believe it because you say so." America is collectively asking for receipts. That's the true reason why the Republican party won the popular vote for only the second time since '88. It's not voter suppression. It's not gerrymandering, which wouldn't even affect a presidential election.

Say it correctly please...I said that he is entitled to his opinion, I believe the source and it is in character of Trump to say such things as he has associated himself with similar individuals like the NK dictator, Putin.
The deflection of video proof is peculiar when the source has good credibility and Trump has a propensity for this type of commentary and decision making.
No need to go crazy, you guys can follow your narrative I just do not agree with the conclusion.

Who was the source? Do you have video proof of him associating himself with Kim and/or Putin, or is that one of those take my word for it things too?
The issue is quotes attributed to Trump are floated almost daily, and for all the stuff he does say on camera, there's never proof. Yet said quotes become accepted as fact thanks in part to a liberal controlled media machine. If you say you trust the source, I respect it but for a man that has had cameras and microphones focused on him four four decades, and incessantly in the past 8 years, eventually you need to start hearing some actual evidence of this stuff.

Oh I see it completely the opposite of your summary, I think he goes off the rails wacko when nobody is around. The way he went raging psycho when he lost, the way he stealth cheats in golf, the way he already had discord with Putin and brought Musk in on the call and has allowed Musk and his conflicts of interest inside and much more shows Trump lacks cognitive abilities and has a truly bizarre association with others he thinks are in control.
I believe the source and I believe the total lack of perspective and judgment regarding Trump, it completely falls in line with his zero ego character to me. I also see zero reason why the source would report the event as it gains him absolutely nothing personally in doing so.

It's HERESAY and that's ALL despite the best efforts of the Left to make it a fact. Saying it 10,100, or 1000 times does not make it fact.
There is a thread here in politics on spreading misinformation.

At some point you can actually spend 5 minutes and research it yourself IF you were seriously interested. Notice that when you ask questions that you could have found the answer FASTER than to type a reply on Covers that it does not illicit a response.
I find these ploys quite boring, if you are serious in finding the answer you would have done so in less than a few minutes. Why is that?

Body of work, behavior patterns, similar tendencies those characteristics make a large impact on how you can determine validity versus demanding a video or being in person to prove something.
Again....you are entitled to your position, nobody is saying you must believe the source, to me the man that Trump is and his numerous quite similar examples of behavior are more than enough to satisfy my opinion. And why exactly would this individual say what they did, what is the motivation and what is the gain they have for saying such things? You can follow what you feel is accurate and I will do the same.

Or another way to look at it is that you definitely could've just given me the answer much easier that typing this paragraph long response. Let that sink in. I don't deal in ploys. If i'm asking a question, it's a sincere question.

Are we talking about John Kelly? And if we are, is it this John Kelly? Just want to be sure considering i'm doing my own research.
DC Capital Partners conflict of interest
In January 2017, The Intercept reported that Kelly failed to disclose his position as vice-chair on the Spectrum Group, a defense contractor lobbying firm, on his ethics form, while taking a position at the Department of Homeland Security.[64] Kelly's membership on the board of DC Capital Partners and its for-profit detention facilities at the Southern Border and Florida, operated by its subsidiary Caliburn International had called into question his neutrality as they have been described as private for-profit concentration camps.[65] Caliburn CEO James Van Dusen said, "With four decades of military and humanitarian leadership, in-depth understanding of international affairs and knowledge of current economic drivers around the world, General Kelly is a strong strategic addition to our team." Candidates in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries objected, including Cory Booker, who said Kelly's actions in joining the board were "disgusting," and Elizabeth Warren, who called his role, "corruption at its absolute worst."[66] In July 2019, the House Oversight Committee announced it was probing Kelly's conflict of interest in the camps while he was the White House Chief of Staff.

In October 2017, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson (D-FL) criticized Trump for his phone call to the widow of a slain U.S. soldier, saying his remarks had been insensitive. Wilson had been in the widow's car when Trump had called her.[69] A few days later, Kelly held a press briefing where he defended Trump's phone call, which he had overheard, saying Trump "expressed his condolences in the best way that he could." Kelly harshly criticized Wilson, calling her "the empty barrel that makes the most noise" and stating that in a 2015 speech Wilson had "stood up" to inappropriately claim credit for securing federal funding for an FBI building in her district.[70][71] The South Florida Sun-Sentinel found video of her 2015 speech which showed his description to be inaccurate. PolitiFact published an article fact-checking Kelly's comments, which were ruled 'false'; the article stated that Kelly had "mischaracterized her remarks in significant ways".[72] Later that month, while in an interview with conservative commentator Laura Ingraham, Kelly said he stood by his comments on Wilson and would never apologize for his comments. Kelly said he would "talk about before her comments and at the reception afterwards" as a "package deal", but refused to elaborate further.[73][74]
Civil War remarks
In the same October 2017 interview with Laura Ingraham, Kelly said that "the lack of ability to compromise led to the Civil War." He also described Robert E. Lee as an "honorable man" who "gave up ... his country to fight for his state," and claimed, "men and women of good faith on both sides made their stand where their conscience had to make their stand."[75] Several historians of the Civil War described Kelly's remarks as ignorant, and as a misuse of history reminiscent of Lost Cause mythology. They also broadly reject Kelly's remark that a failure to compromise led to the Civil War, noting that the war was predominantly fought over slavery and that a number of compromises on slavery were made in the lead-up to the war.[76] The White House defended Kelly's remarks, citing non-fiction writer and historian Shelby Foote.

See how that took no time at all for you to find your own answer? Good job, I was not using any ploy I only stated an answer to the Hitler original comment given that I had done my research and did not quote the source in my reply. It is not like this isnt public knowledge and pretty straight forward.
As I keep saying, you and the other Trump guys are entitled to your opinions, good for you and that is your right to believe Trump, I on the other hand believe the original source and I do not trust Trump at anything he says due to his zero ego personality and his very very loose childish mouth that he exhibits pretty much every single day. He associates and feels a connection with characters who have some similar qualities to dictators and ARE dictators so to suggest that someone reported what was said in person is very believable to me. You have your side and reasoning (I dont know how you can refute Trump and his life work, this is well within his behavior) and I believe the source.
Just curious you posted some slander on the individual, did you also post the same equal slander on Trump and his association with dictators and his admiration of similar qualities to that which he was said to by the source? Nope...

On February 6, 2018, Kelly made recorded remarks concerning a discrepancy between how many had enrolled in DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) and how many were to be offered a path to citizenship, by saying "The difference between 690 [thousand] and 1.8 million were the people that some would say were too afraid to sign up; others would say are too lazy to get off their asses, but they didn't sign up".[78]
Confrontation with Corey Lewandowski
In February 2018, The New York Times reported that Kelly had been in a physical confrontation with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. According to anonymous sources, Kelly had a heated argument with Lewandowski in which he accused him of profiting off Trump's presidency. This led to Kelly grabbing Lewandowski by the collar and pushing him up against the wall just outside the Oval Office. The sources said Lewandowski did not respond physically to Kelly, and when Secret Service agents arrived, Lewandowski and Kelly went their separate ways.

Firing of White House aide Rob Porter
On February 7, 2018, White House staff secretary Rob Porter resigned in the wake of reports that his two ex-wives accused him of domestic abuse, allegations that Porter said are false and "a coordinated smear campaign".[80] One ex-wife had a protective order from 2010 against Porter, and the other had photographic evidence of the alleged abuse.[80] The protective order had prevented Porter from obtaining a full security clearance, though the order's associated ex-wife said Porter's "integrity and ability to do his job is impeccable".[80] According to an unnamed senior administration official, Kelly was aware of the protective order and the domestic abuse allegations, and had promoted Porter within the White House.[80][81] Approached by media about the allegations, Kelly initially praised Porter, saying he was a "man of true integrity and honor, and I can't say enough good things about him. He is a friend, a confidante and a trusted professional. I am proud to serve alongside him."[80] Per an unnamed White House official, Porter resigned over the objections of Kelly, who had worked closely with Porter since becoming White House Chief of Staff.[82]
In a February 8 email to White House staff, Kelly wrote, "While we are all processing the shocking and troubling allegations made against a former White House staffer, I want you to know that we all take matters of domestic violence very seriously. Domestic violence is abhorrent and has no place in our society".[83] On February 9, 2018, The Washington Post reported that Kelly had instructed senior staff and aides to tell reporters that Kelly took immediate action to fire Porter upon hearing that domestic abuse allegations were credible; the Post noted this "version of events contradicts both the public record and accounts from numerous other White House officials in recent days as the Porter drama unfolded."[84] Kelly told reporters on March 2, 2018 that he sought Porter's resignation immediately after learning of the accusations on February 6 and regretted his handling of Porter's departure.

I said I believe what he said, you said you believe the opposite. In the scenario of not having VIDEO there are other ways to make a determination or draw a conclusion. If your conclusion is that if there is no video then the event did not happen, you are entitled to that view. If your conclusion is you believe Trump you are also entitled to your conclusion. Suggesting without video there is no event is not what I conclude. I believe the source, so my comment was based on believing the source and the character, the past, the mouth, the zero ego of Trump. If the choice is believing Trump vs believing the source, in this case I side with the source. Trump is of low character and has a very long history of saying angry absurd comments and behaving very questionably.
If you said that Obama made that comment I would doubt it, if you said Bush Lite said that I would also doubt it, the remark is completely in character (or lack of) for Trump.

@UNIMAN Body of work, behavior patterns, similar tendencies those characteristics make a large impact on how you can determine validity versus demanding a video or being in person to prove something. Let me help you out with this one. Trump has been the most anti-War president in decades. John Kelly is a warhawk who sits on the board of a defense contractor. It is much better for John Kelly's pockets, and the pockets of his cronies, that Joe Biden or Kamala Harris be in office rather than Trump.
This is a quote from John Kelly, from 2014.
"If you think this war against our way of life is over because some of the self-appointed opinion-makers and chattering class grow 'war weary,' because they want to be out of Iraq or Afghanistan, you are mistaken. This enemy is dedicated to our destruction. He will fight us for generations, and the conflict will move through various phases as it has since 9/11."
A guy like Kelly wants us in endless wars that funnel tax dollars into the pockets of fat cat warhawks. At least he actually served, and lost a child in service, unlike the Democrats' shining star, Liz Cheney.

This was said when he was part of the organization and Trump was in office, if Trump felt he was going to lie about him to the press then why was he allowed to be present and a participant of his presidency?
I dont buy your contention..I do not see the motive or the financial gain from the comment. Your thesis about the guy being establishment didnt play out, when Trump was in office that narrative didnt have the opportunity to develop.
So does Trump wander about like someone who needs to have their mouth taped shut? Yeah he does...Arnold Palmer shower comments? Just own your guy Stump, the source is much more believable than the drunk uncle who is Trump.
Do you think Biden had a call with Putin and welcomed Mark Cuban to the call prior to being in office? Its completely a logical and realistic thing Trump would do/say/think

You have an issue. I can't say it enough. Trump is not, nor has he ever been, "my guy." As I have said many times, I simply prefer him to Hillary Clinton, prefer him to Joe Biden, prefer him to Kamala Harris.
As far as the comments, sure, they're definitely believable. That he said Hitler did a lot of good things, well, Hitler did a lot of good things for Germany. This is historical fact. And frankly, Germany probably wouldn't be the super power it is today without Hitler. As far as Hitler having good generals, or loyal generals, whatever the claim, yeah, he probably said that too. I would posit that he doesn't actually know anything about Hitler ir his generals but neither here nor there. None of this is praise per se, or Nazi sympathy, which is how the Democrats frame it. And frankly, none of it makes him a worse person than the source, John Kelly. The truly appalling fact is that 8 years ago, Democrats would've rallied against a guy like John Kelly hut since he's anti-Trump, I guess he's alright. Same with Liz Cheney. I grew up in one of the most liberal regionsnin the country, surrounded ny liberals. Family, friends, colleagues, etc. A the Democratic party I knew would vilify, demonize people like John Kelly and Liz Cheney but I guess all it takes is being anti-Trump and you're part of the team.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!

My Trump comment to you was that this discussion was important enough that you repeatedly and have repeatedly backed Trump, thus in this scenario and many others he is your guy with there only being two players in this example.
The problem is when you cannot control your mouth it puts you in bad situations and undermines your credibility and cognitive awareness. If you do not want the DNC or the liberal media or whatever other group to come after you the best way to stop that from happening is to make better choices, learn to control your mouth and learn to respect other people even those you might disagree with.
To me the issue isnt that you try and deflect from Trump since Cheney is this or Kelly is that, you cannot try and shore up a crappy person by tearing others down. Trump says and will continue to say and do things which are unhinged and inappropriate, he does it every single day. The way he has allowed Musk the snake in with the conflicts of interest at play is just the current sign that Trump is not the kind of person suited to be in office and in charge of the organization which has impacts on MILLIONS of citizens and the world at large. The position requires more than swagger and insults, Trump lacks in areas that could cause great harm if situations play out that require diplomacy and mental stability. You cannot install retribution suited candidates in positions where they need to have a level of experience and intelligence, these choices are more than just payback and retaliation. He needs to step away from his zero ego and think about others, those lowly citizens who actually have needs and are reliant on a stable government.
