ALL lives deserve the same and equal opportunities, and, unfortunately, ALL lives have been wrongfully shot by the police at some time or another. In fact, when a "movement" is created that strictly promotes one particular race/ethnicity over the other, and, oh, I don't know, holds "rallies" to block "white" shoppers and shop owners from doing business on "Black Friday" for instance, isn't that the very definition of racism? As I recall, white people do have a version of this - they love to wear bedsheets and burn crosses.....
Next, why hasn't Obama held a "forum" with AsianLivesMatter or IndianLivesMatter? I'm going to assume it's because it doesn't exist. Most likely, because they're too busy working hard, raising and teaching their children and making sure they do well in school so they can eventually become a successful productive member of society.....

Gimme, there's a thread in the PBox that bettingforfun started that is pretty decent and where I give my opinion of BLM. I am a black man who believes that black lives do matter, like you I believe that all lives matter, but i'm not a supporter of BLM. I asked a question, unsarcastically, and you gave a good answer. I don't inherently have a problem with BLM but I do believe they're like a chicken with it's head cut off. Flapping and flailing around with no real leadership, no real direction or goals. They've been exploited by the media, by the democratic party, and by opportunist like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson but none of the above have done the simplest of acts to make a real difference such as saying, "Let's create a mission statement. Let's set goals. Let's create dialogues. Let's forge some unity so that this can become an "All lives Matter Movement" because right now it's a joke. Before we start blaming a relative few "in over their heads" individuals with some signs and t-shirts we really need to point the finger at washed up community leaders like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, at politicians like Hillary Clinton, and more than anything at the media.

I agree 100% with everything in your post. My only issue is the fact that Obama giving this "movement" a political forum and seemingly acknowledging it as an "official" group he needed to pander and cater to (much like the right does with the Christians - which I hate, BTW) somehow legitimized it, and forced the country to start choosing sides. Obama is supposed to be a "man of the people" - ALL people. He should've known better, that's all.
But I do agree they've been exploited, and need some sort of goals and leadership. Otherwise, we're looking at The Black Panther Party part 2.....
