Murders up 48% in 2015, 74 after the Freddie Gray "incident" where old Freddie may have caused himself fatal injuries because he was an unstable drug dealer/user looking for a lawsuit.

Instead of calling for calm and letting the police fight the rioters the thugs of Baltimore City were given "room to destroy" by the Mayor. And destroy they did, while also marginalizing the police department and empowering murders and other criminals to "have at it".

People are dead because of this but when liberals obviously screw-up no ones accountable. Two current examples are this and Hillary's/Obama's Benghazi lies/fraud about the spontaneous demonstration claim to the "Where's The Fkn' Emails" scandal. Nothing ever happens to this protected class.

I love this argument, suggesting that a city like New Orleans somehow has no impact from any policies other those of Democrats. Perhaps someday when your parents increase your allowance, you can travel to a "liberal" run city like New York, San Francisco, Seattle, or Portland, ME.

Everyone may have different theories but I can speak first hand on New Orleans.

My father moved out of the city and into the suburbs in the early 70's because of what it was becoming. Thousands of others did the same.

Back in the 60's New Orleans proper was about the tenth largest city in the country. Now it is around fiftieth. And that was waaaaaay before Katrina.

I mentioned this in a thread about Detroit a few years ago. When the tax base starts leaving the climate starts deteriorating: infrastructure, education, higher crime, etc

I&#x27;m against people like Scott Walker being recalled in Wisconsin due to unions (which are big with the d&#x27;s), but no recall in Baltimore because its run by a crew of (d&#x27;s and voted for by d&#x27;s). Baltimore CIty population is down hundreds of thousands over the last 30 years and is a mainstay in the Top 10 murder rates in the country. Do you call this Progress?I do agree "the people" get the government they deserve and the Baltimore city population definitely deserves this crew of incompetents... It saddens me that innocent people through no fault of their own have to be subject to the dangers these people have brought on a once great city.Are the 74 murdered people in 2 months laughable dl or is it tragic?

From what I understand in Wisconsin unions are excused from the American way.  In fact politicians can just get up and leave the state so they don&#x27;t have to vote.  Not sure why the exemption in that state.

This is from a thread from 2011 that someone had started about this.

I showed this list to a libtard acquaintence and suggested we compare crime rates. Of course, he tried to dismiss it stating factors other than liberal voting accounted for the high crime rates. We agreed to compare just the top five cities in each category just to sample his theory. So I am listing the top 5 cities in each category followed by the (total crime rate, violent crime rate, property crime rate). A score of 100.00 is exactly the national average. Thus, a score of 50 would be half the national average, a score of 200 would be twice the national average.

We could go on with all 25 cities, but you get the idea. Liberal places are far less safe. Berkeley, in fact, is the only one of the top 5 which is less than twice the national average and the only one which comes close to the two most dangerous of the top 5 conservative cities.

You can explain some of it, but not all of it, by ethnic makeup. But I'm curious as to why Plano, Texas (#5 on the list) has less than one-third the crime rate of the two other Texas cities which made the list.

I'm also curious why the liberal showcase city of Berkeley still has crime rates significantly higher than 3/5th of the most conservative cities in the top 5. The most visible ethnic group in Berkeley is Asian who commit crimes at rates well below the national average.

Also points out the issue with lack of affordable housing in more liberal cities.

It is also part of the issue that conservatives prefer rural areas, whereas, liberals prefer larger cities.

So, there are certainly a lot of factors at work. But very hard to deny the facts on the issue.
