Republicans don't get called out for being the 1%. Republicans get called out for catering to the 1%.
Big difference.
Factually not true. It's a figment of the left's imagination. With these low interest rates and quantitative easing, among other bailouts the 1%er's have been killing it. As a whole financial institutions are making more now than they did in 2007. Just another lie perpetrated on the public by the media.
The left speaks as if they care about the middle class but the facts just don't back it up. Republicans could give a $hit as well.
Democrat Party=Symbolism over Substance

In Baltimore, the erosion of the tax base is easy to see. The city's population has dropped from a peak of 950,000 in 1950 to 619,000 today, and while the decline has slowed, there have been few signs of the trend reversing. The median income is $40,000, and 22 percent of the city's residents live in poverty, according to Census data. The city also has 16,000 vacant properties.

And this was before the riots... I'm sure the picture will be even rosier now...

Truth hurts don't it DL? You keep listening to Rev Al on MSNBC for "news"...
Baltimore is Detroit East... Population has dropped 50% since 1950 - because it's such a lovely place to live. Taxes double that of Baltimore County. It costs a lot of money to house & feed a population, someone has to pay...

funny how a biased partisan lemming assumes a non-partisan independent view point or poster results in him assuming that i must his polar opposite.
Very telling
Really, all the FOX haters are cut from the same cloth. If you wish to fact check the article, be my guest. I'm from there, and I know the population statistic is spot on as well as the tax statement. You wish to prove otherwise, I'll watch for a link, since you so independent...

Why would you not defend it if you felt it were true. If it weren't it would simply diffuse it by proving otherwise. Who cares the source if it is true? Of course folks assume you are on the other side if you are knocking someone for defending it if you aren't going to show it to be otherwise.
And once again there are hardly any true independents. I haven't seen any in here yet. Independents, by and large, are simply liberals that are afraid to admit being a liberal.
Baltimore is a dumpster fire. It could be argued Detroit is the Baltimore of the north.

Most independents I know are similar to me. conservative leaning that are fed up with classless, hateful, racist, hypocratic, theocratic gop party and end up looking more like libertarians. Fiscal conservatives and social liberals.
Kinda like middle ground people that don't like either party.
I have seen some of the liberal indepdent that are so liberal they view Obama as too conservative and are so far left they don't function well in society. I see that as a such a small minority in comparison to the majority of middle road independents like myself that are fed up with the fact that neither party offers what we want and the libertarian party is not strong enough to make a difference

Spoiler alert for DL... A FOX related interview is below... Look away or go to another thread...
On Megyn Kelly tonight a black radio host commented on the fact that the prosecution won't allow the trial of the Baltimore 6 to be moved out of the city.
"Baltimore wants to end this series at home, they only thing left is to name the hanging judge."
That's a riot in itself... The Banana Republic supporting the prosecution in this Kangaroo court has such a great case they don't want it outside the city when all they want to do is convict these cops regardless of the facts. Six cops indicted when this convicted heroin dealer was alone in a paddy wagon is a hoot in itself, I guess you got charged if you looked at him. Get ready for the next set of riots when the cops beat these false and unjust charges.

I wonder who has more useless posts DL or Detox. 6 words, don't hurt yourself or make an argument Mr. Independent.
How about a question? Do you believe the cops have been justly charged and will receive a fair trial in Baltimore City?
Is it purely coincidence that Darryl has no conservative friends on this forum but many on the other side find him acceptable...and yet he still calls himself independent?
Priceless!

I simply make observations of what people post. I don't how I get lumped in with detox, maybe it's a list of people that get under you skin, but my posting style and views hugely differ from detox.
But since you asked me a question I will answer.
I think you question is a tough one. In this day and age you often see people with the "cart before horse" mentality where facts of a case are meaningless.
So people arrive to the conclusion they have been prescribed and if the verdict agrees with it, it is a fair trial. If it does not than it was unfair.
So to me they should receive a right to "fair" trial no matter where in the usa they are. But like I said in the end one side will say it is unfair.
As far as the charges go, once again it is mattered if prescribed opinion and outrage. But what I do rely on is the fact that they are innocent until proven guilty. So the court will decide the validity of the charges.
You saw this with all the coverage of the OJ/Zimmerman murders. Everyone is suddenly a lawyer and legal expert but only seem to be able to prove their prescribed view of if they were guilty or innocent. So I personally refuse to follow this mindless trend of "cart before horse" legal analysis.
But you are welcome to pull that Cart of yours. It seems like the cart is pretty full of....

Justice in general is supposed to be the promise, not justice to Freddie's family. That "justice" is a guilty verdict on the charges and that's out of order. The cops & their families also deserve justice.

State Att.Mosby did not promise "justice for all "in this case .. only justice to the family, the youtes of the city and Freddie Grey..
From transcript:
" I assured his family that no one is above the law and that I would pursue justice on their behalf."
(snip)
"To the people of Baltimore and the demonstrators across America: I heard your call for ‘No justice, no peace.’ Your peace is sincerely needed as I work to deliver justice on behalf of this young man."
(snip)
"To those that are angry, hurt or have their own experiences of injustice at the hands of police officers I urge you to channel that energy peacefully as we prosecute this case I have heard your calls for ‘No justice, no peace,’ however your peace is sincerely needed as I work to deliver justice on behalf of Freddie Gray."
(snip)
"Last but certainly not least, to the youth of the city. I will seek justice on your behalf. This is a moment. This is your moment. Let’s insure we have peaceful and productive rallies that will develop structural and systemic changes for generations to come. You’re at the forefront of this cause and as young people, our time is now."
How can she promise what justice will look like before a determination of guilt has been made? She has no creditiblity..none.

it kind of goes both ways. prosecutors really aren't supposed to indicate a person is guilty before the trial is finished. on the other hand, her job is to only prosecute those people who she is confident is guilty so it's not a big stretch for her to make statements supporting her job in such a public case.
ultimately, it's probably best not to get on camera and talk about justice for a person at that stage, but that is what she is paid to do and as dj said, prosecutors do it all of the time in cases that get attention.

kind of like when police have press conferences after a high profile arrest. they have less of a basis to do this because no lawyer has even looked at the case to evaluate it and determine charges yet, but they often give press conferences saying they are confident they got the right guy, or whatever. they shouldn't do it, but they all do and it is their job to try and get the right guy.
