Trump faced a series of choices. He could have taken aggressive measures to slow the spread of the virus. He could have insisted that the United States ramp up efforts to produce test kits. He could have emphasized the risks that the virus presented and urged Americans to take precautions if they had reason to believe they were sick. He could have used the powers of the presidency to reduce the number of people who would ultimately get sick.
A Complete List of Trump’s Attempts to Play Down Coronavirus
He could have taken action. He didn’t. He did everything a stone cold narcissist, devoid of any empathy would do!

On March 4th, my wife ordered 3 packs of 30 N95 masks. They come 2 in a package. We purchased them as a precaution. An Amazon driver just delivered them.
Our plan was to pass them out to elderly neighbors & for our family. Now that everyone is staying home, I kept 10 masks for my family & drove the other 80 to the town's Fire Department where our paramedics are also located.
They told me they had 11 masks left & appreciated our gift. They were waiting for the State of Florida to replenish their supply for 3 weeks.
I checked Amazon and masks are still available. 18 days ago a pack of 30 cost $89.99 or 3 bucks a mask. A pack of 30 now goes for $119 an increase of 30 bucks.
Things are changing very quickly.

Maybe this will wake everyone in the country up... We have 31,000 confirmed with the virus and have lost 389 Americans. For all you math degenerates that equates to a death rate of 12.5%.
Sorry sorry...my math is way off.

Harvey Farking Weinstein got a free test & is positive. Karma always finds it's douchebag.
So you wanted a seat in the courtroom during his trial, huh?
It's easy getting information when you know people in jail.
Watching the president with the sound off; will turn it on when other speakers approach the podium. I'm rooting for this farker. Well actually I'm rooting for America and wish he wouldn't even show up. Pence and the FEMA guy have to keep straight faces. I see Dr. Fauci isn't in camera view tonight.

I sell the Crosetex brand for $69.99 for a box of 28 masks...where my local and national competitors are price gauging them to $99.99 each, i have been personally calling and texting every single one of my customers letting them know i have frozen my prices for the remainder of 2020 and refuse to capitalize off this pandemic by increasing prices like so many others in the market...let me tell you this, i have built a strong business off of 5 star quality service and transparent pricing...when the dust settles, only the good deeders will survive in business while all the price gaugers will be socially shamed by me and other honest business owners.

OANN has an Okeechobee County Commissioner spreading a report that putting a hairdryer on & up your nose is a cure for the virus.
People like this dumbshit who watch this FOX protege station spread this bullshit to other dumbshits who pass it on to other dumbshits and you have the State of Florida above & west of Palm Beach.

The county isn’t paying for it. The tests are being paid for by an international biomedical company whose executives have a residence in Telluride. There are about 8,000 residents. Talk about catching a break. Never quite sure why a well person not showing any symptoms would want to waste a test that could be used by someone that might be infected. Especially when they could test negative today and positive tomorrow. So is your best plan to test everyone that is well? Do you know how many people that would be? Then you are wasting valuable tests. Then how do you know they are not exposed and sick the day after they get the test? What do you do — test every well person once a week? How many tests do you think are going to be needed under your plan? Raiders..you know that's not correct because you questioned me when I gave the data regarding the 5 masks per million. At that time I said it wasn't necessary to test everyone. Do you remember that? So why are you saying it is a lucky thing to live in Telluride if you feel that way? Isn’t that what they are okay with? OK, my point is that the wealthy/connected can always get what they want when they want it. As a result, the people in Telluride can "get" a test if they need one unlike the rest of the country because of their executive neighbors.
So are you for them getting tests or not? Don’t care if they are rich or lucky. I’m sure the whole town is not rich. Someone has to work shops and cafes there.

Now what? Was that a yes or no? Didn’t ask you about being great at messaging. The question was do you give him credit for the early travel ban?
Slow down and read my answer....I said sure.
The bold was your answer. That was dismissive at best and horribly qualified at worst. Are you saying ‘sure’ you are for it and then at the same time calling it something else?
To be clear you were for the travel ban? ‘Sure’, I guess means ‘yes’. But if so, why not give that credit? Why do you have to be derisive about the man even about something you agree with?

First, Don't lie! There was no China travel ban in January! https://www.factcheck.org/2020/03/the-facts-on-trumps-travel-restrictions/ Second, travel bans do not work, the virus was already here and elsewhere in the world,
Don’t see you much in the political forum. But even a fellow Raider can be wrong/misinformed from time to time. So, I give you the benefit of the doubt here. But try to stay caught up in these discussions or you will be left behind. We have plenty of Trump-bashers in here. If you just want to add to that — I am not sure there is much new in that area you can provide.
Call it what you like. But he proclaimed it on Jan 1 and it was to take effect Feb 2.
Of course travel bans work. Complete nonsense to think they wouldn’t. If no one can get in — they can’t bring it in. If someone is here already with it — you address that also It is not an either/or situation. Quarantines don’t work with that kind of logic— you might not have quarantined all cases. A travel ban would slow additional new cases, perhaps, coming in while you contain/address the current cases here.
Always better if you can go straight to the source and read if for yourself:

Didn’t know he said it. But I hope he was just saying he had heard it and not promoting it. This has been around for many years. For example:
But I have never heard medical research on it or heard doctors advocating it.
But I know there have been studies on some of these old home remedy things for colds that seem to have something to them. Like the old chicken noodle soup thing. Or the Garlic and Zinc etc.
I always ask folks if they work so well why doctors don’t promote them. I always get the same answer — no money in it.
But the one I always found the most interesting is the folks that hung an onion in the doorway during the Spanish Flu and seemed to keep the family free from the flu. Others ate lots of onions in their foods. I remember reading long ago there seems to be something to the onion thing.
I know years ago a vaporizer or humidifier would be used to help with colds. So, maybe something to the steam part of it
Just not sure blowing a blow dryer up your nose is ever a good plan. It seems to me it would just dry your sinuses out and irritate them.
But in desperate times it is amazing what some folks will try.
I try not to laugh because people are scared, but hard not to laugh at some of the things people advocate.
