George freakin' Washington, what would any of them have done differently? There really wasn't a blueprint for any of this. This isn't even a defense of Trump, it's just ne pointing out how ridiculous you all sound trying to blame him for this virus, or more specifically, the way you all critique his handling of it. Then when someone mentions him closing the borders it's, "Nope! Nope! It had no effect! It was stupid." So he restricting travel was pointless. What other grand efforts could have been made? He's done no better or worse than any other President would have. The only difference is maybe some other Presidents would have been more charismatic while doing it. Trump says dumb shite but he hasn't really mishandled much.

Trump spent the last 2 years eliminating the experts needed to combat a virus of this nature.

He disregarded the "playbook" President O's administration created that documented a plan to implement.

He called it a hoax for weeks and disregarded the daily briefing warning him of the virus spread.

He continues to fire experts who's opinions differ from his.

He eliminated the US Government 30M Complex Crisis Fund under the power of the Secretary of State to monitor, prevent & respond to emerging or unforeseen crisis around the world.

He reduced National Health spending by 15 billion which include the PPE's needed since the virus entered the country.

He cut the CDC staffers from 11 to 3. 39 others categorized as "local employees" was reduced to 11. Experienced personnel were replaced by novices. The CDC budget has been cut by 20% in each year of his administration.

He has repeated false and misleading statements including the virus was contained & that it would disappear.

He disbanded the NSC Pandemic Unit. When asked about why he made this decision he called it a "nasty" question and refused to answer the question. Subsequently, he said "This is something you can never really think is going to happen."

At a time when the country needs an honest leader providing honest answers to difficult questions, he has failed miserably IMO.

A father of 8 was murdered in Flint, MI Friday.

Security Guard Calvin Munerlyn age 43 working in a Flint Dollar store was shot in the head because he told Sharmel Teague that her daughter was not allowed in the store without a mask. The daughter returned home while her mother continued to argue with the guard.

Twenty minutes later, Teague returned to the store with her husband Larry & their son Bishop. The husband argued with the guard and accused him of disrespecting his wife. The son approached the security guard and put one bullet in the man's head.

Mr. Munerlyn was named "Father of the Year" by the school where 4 of his children attend.

The POS mother is in custody while the scumbag father and son remain at large.

Stu....when a president finds it necessary to revise a projected death toll five times in 13 days, there's a problem.

Either he should stop giving us bullshit numbers or he should just STFU!

Yes.  As I have been saying all along Fauci, Berx and all the ‘experts’ and the ‘scientific models’ have been wrong at every turn.  Hard for him, or anyone, to give out good numbers like that.  peace_5

Cases, deaths, ventilators, hospital beds, timeframe.  I mean they have missed it all, badly in some cases.

Mine working theory is that more than likely the virus has been here a lot longer than they though.  This has led to so much exposure already.  For example:

As I’ve written here before, in New Orleans, which is a major hotspot for Wuhan virus infection, starting in late November and carrying on through the winter much of the city had been dealing with a persistent cough that wouldn’t go away and carried very similar symptoms to those described by Wuhan virus patients. Talk to people there and they’ll swear they’ve had this thing and gotten over it. If and when people start to be tested for antibodies, there’s a good bet their theories will be proven correct.

And if that turns out to be the case, it would certainly explain why every data model attempting to predict the spread of this virus has crashed and burned. There was the Imperial College London study that predicted 2.2 million deaths in the United States and a half million in the UK, only for its author to abandon those numbers and then predict less than 20,000 deaths in Great Britain (as of this writing, the total UK Wuhan coronavirus deaths are 6,159).

According to propublica, Trump hasn't released Federal emergency management agency funds to help families pay for funeral costs of Americans who die from coronavirus so that they can be buried with dignity.  Despite demands by two House committees and 30 states, Trump administration failure is not because of a lack of funds.  Congress gave FEMA disaster relief fund extra $billions in March.  But Trump has a bad habit of defying congress constitutional right to control spending.  For examples, border wall and Ukraine.  Apparently, Trump has no compassion and no respect for dead Americans.

Facetiously. Many who would read this thread know me (as well as you could "know" someone here) and know from where i'm coming from. And frankly, this is covers. Don't act like someone wouldn't have made a comment about race. I figured if one of the few black people on here just got it out there before some keyboard closet bigot does, it would keep this thread on subject and prevent it from being hijacked and turned into a discussion of race politics. The use of the term "cracka", to be read in a Chris Rock voice, was to illustrate that i'm being facetious and not trying to sway this thread in that direction. To any readers of caucasian decent who may happen by and not get this, I joke around a lot here but I would never aim to offend anyone. I love white people.

Tyson Foods is totally disregarding the health of employees in these small towns across the country. In their Perry, IA plant, 58% of the workers tested positive & they have now closed the plant.

    58%!

    WTF

One day after reopening, Florida recorded a record number of new deaths Tuesday from the novel coronavirus with 113 fatalities reported.

Here's something else you may find interesting. If you are visiting Florida & die here, your death is not reported as a Floridian death because you are not a resident.

I don't know if it works that way in other states but I just found this odd.

Illinois reported plans to re-open the state on the same day they announced their highest daily death toll of 176.

I realize these Governors are under tremendous pressure to get the state's economy going & but it appears these deaths are beginning to just be taken for granted.

I think these things should have been county by county to begin with. Some counties should have never "closed" which would have eased tension on governors to rush open the whole state.

Trump administration is blocking doctor Fauci from testifying in House committee investigation of US response to pandemic.  As in previous blocking of witnesses, Trump is afraid of the truth.  However top vaccine expert doctor Blight of Biomedical advance research has agreed to testify.  His lawyers have filed a whistleblower complaint with inspector general of US health department.  He has been demoted for prioritizing science and public health over politics and quack remedies promoted by Trump administration.   He has resisted pressure to make potentially harmful drugs more widely available which would risk taxpayers money.  In the scientific community, doctor Blight is recognized as a hero.

Pandemic isn't over and US coronavirus curve is still far from flattening.  But Trump administration plans to wind down coronavirus task force and focus on reopening US economy.  However premature easing of restrictions may result in 135,000 total deaths by August which is almost double American deaths in entire Vietnam war.  This is genocide by negligent public policy according to York global health justice partnership.  Apparently, Trump doesn't care if Americans die.

The willfull  ignorance and the regurgitating of MSM propaganda in this thread is a testament to how easy it is to pull the wool over the sheeple's eyes by launching the biggest scam in the history of the world. This scamdemic has zero to do with health and everything to do with transforming human society. The relevant data is already in and it indicates that this propaganda viruses #'s are similar to the flu #'s. That's it. It's a nothing burger that never should've resulted in a lock down to begin with.
