This is actually old news. A viron (a single virus unit, the RNA and it's shell) is only 0.1 microns in size. So, even if you believe in all the fear mongering, there is no scientific basis for any benefit from mask wearing, in terms of reducing the risk of being infected by a viral respiratory disease. The mask will not stop something that miniscule from penetration.

Now the other story about: "Flushing the toilet MAY push coronavirus aerosols 3 feet into air, "study" reveals." That is literally going into the toilet to keep spraying the fear mongering onto the public. And like I said before, after one of your Fraudci jokes, he will have the public so afraid that when he says you have to now wear diapers, there will be those that will obey.

I didn't watch your video because I prefer reading words, whether printed on paper or scrawled across an android screen but.... Did the doctor say it causes a very severe pneumonia or it is a very severe pneumomia? You do realize pneumonia is a condition, not an infection? Not a disease? Influenza viruses can cause pneumonia. Corona viruses also cause pneumonia but it is the propensity to cause more sever respriratory conditions that make them differ from the flu.

Ask that doctor, that was what a medical professional's response to SKY's reporter's question. It's a very sever pneumonia not just a flu.

I don't have to watch the video. Your words, and maybe they are his, demonstrate a lack of basic understanding of the difference between a virus, a viral infection, and a condition, ect. Like I said, it could be his words. You say he is Italian so there could be a language barrier, and at this point i'll probably break down and watch the video, but a lot of what I see people post illustrates a lack of understanding of some very basic things. This stuff isn't rocket surgery. You don't need to have passed the MCAT to understand concepts like "What's a viral infection vs. What's a bacterial infection?" or "What's a disease vs. What's a condition?" but the more I see what people post here, I realize that basic understanding is lacking. It sounds like a bit of a language barrier. In a nutshell, yes, corona virus is not the flu. They are seperate and unrelated viruses. Thet are similar in many ways but they are not the same much as lemur and a chimpanzee are not the same. They are similar in many ways. They are both primates but they are not the same. Much as a elephant and a house cat are not the same. They are both mammals. They are similar in the ways that mammals are similar: warm-blooded, birth live young, ect. but they are clearly different. No, influenza (a virus) and corona (a different and seperate virus) are not the same but thet have many similarites.

Corona virus can be found in many strains. Some are relatively harmless. Around 20-30% of common colds are cause by corona viruses (most are caused by rhinoviruses (seperate family of viruses, don't come from rhinos). Some strains, such as SARS Cov19 are more severe.

So what does a virus do? It finds a host and replicates itself. Your body will try to burn it out (fever). It will attempt to create antibodies to combat said intruders. Viruses attack organs and weaken many of the bodies systems, often leading to other various diseases, sicknesses, and conditions. Pneumonia is a sickness. A condition. You can get pneumonia in any number of ways. The flu (influenza) can cause pneumonia. Corona virus can cause pneumonia. Nobody dies from a virus, per se. People who die from AIDS don't dies from AIDS. They get a virus (HIV), which leads to a syndrome (AIDS), which weakens the immune system making one succeptible to any number of other diseases and conditions. Many people who die from AIDS actually die from pneumonia. Or organ failure, ect.

Corona viruses and influenza, like many other viruses, act in many of the same ways. They are passed the same way, similar incubation period, similar life span outside of the host. They can be both carried asymtomatically but this is one of there biggest differences. SARS Cov19 has much more deadly potential than influenza but the virus is much more likely to be asymptomatic. People get it but they don't get sick. So rather than staying in until you are better, you go out and spread it. Another difference is while they both can cause pneumonia, corona virus can potentially cause much more severe respiratory conditions.

So, in summation, covid isn't flu. It's a strain of a seperate and unrelated but similar in many ways virus. Covid isn't pneumomia, it causes pneumomia, among other conditions.

As evidences grow, polls show most people support mask wearing in public spaces.  Republican Schwarzenegger says that mandatory mask wearing is the right move.  The science is unanimous.  If we all wear masks, we can slow spread of coronavirus and reopen economy safely.  It's not political.  People who refuse to wear masks are absolute morons.  Over 100 public health experts send a letter to governors urging  mask wearing to reduce the death toll and economic losses.  Fact checking by politifact rated false social media claim that Occupational safety and health administration doesn't recommend mask wearing. 

According to Springsteen, US response to pandemic has been a national disgrace.  Governors are struggling to keep their population safe and flatten coronavirus curve.  But Trump administration is making it more difficult by ignoring science in favor of politics.  His justice department is threatening states trying to follow coronavirus task force guidelines for reopening.  For weeks, task force has been silenced as Trump pretends pandemic is over. 

Nice write ups fellas, but once a Trump opinion or lie is out there he never backs down or corrects himself. His fan base never does either, being loyal, naive and stupid all at the same time. A horrendous rise in the death toll or political defeat are all that will change that picture. Wear your mask, try to be safe, but forget about bringing good sense or professional medical advice to these people, it ain't going to work.
