LATE BREAKING NEWS... Sources: Special counsel claims Trump deliberately misled his attorneys about classified documents, judge wrote
Unlike Biden and Pence, Trump is in greater legal jeopardy in criminal investigation. He has a bad habit of putting his own lawyers in bad positions. For examples, paying porn star on his behalf and falsely claiming all government documents returned. Now judge revoking attorney-client privileges force Trump lawyer to testify against him in investigation.

@Aronrogers You must just think their steel cause they have a little metallic taste to them,as you're swirling them around in your mouth.Guys with balls of steel don't constantly whine and cry about how things ain't fair, and then run and hide in a bunker when the slightest bit of conflict arises.
He ran and hid a bunker from an issue HE caused.

Well we can hope........but the problem as already pointed out is JURY TRIALS in criminal court.
Eleven jurors can display all the facts in deliberation and be 100% correct about it.....but one stubborn MAGA cult supporter - who lied during jury selection in order to gain a seat undetected - will simply vote NO repeatedly until it becomes a hung jury.
Trump will escape.....guilty as sin.
In fact, if trump actually did what he once mused about, and shot a teenage girl in broad daylight in the middle of fifth avenue, in front of video cameras and hundreds of witnesses, not only would he not lose any votes, but in the subsequent JURY TRIAL - despite all the evidence - it just takes one lying trump supporter to stubbornly force a hung jury.
This is the republicans ideology for LAW & ORDER.
This begs the Q that sidehatch often asks: if it was Joe Biden or any other leading Democrat who committed all the same crimes that trump did, how would they be reacting about that?!?!

U.S. Judge Beryl Howell, who on Friday stepped down as the D.C. district court's chief judge, wrote last week that prosecutors in special counsel Jack Smith's office had made a "prima facie showing that the former president had committed criminal violations" Howell found that prosecutors showed "sufficient" evidence that Trump "intentionally concealed" the existence of additional classified documents from Corcoran, sources said, putting Corcoran in an unwitting position to deceive the government. In her sealed filing, Howell ordered that Evan Corcoran, an attorney for Trump, should comply with a grand jury subpoena for testimony on six separate lines of inquiry over which he had previously asserted attorney-client privilege.
must comply with subpoena !!

Manhattan district attorney office slams House republicans attempt to interfere in pending criminal investigation. House demands non-public information which is confidential under state law. Demand lacks a legitimate basis for congressional inquiry and came only after Trump creates false expectation of imminent arrest. Instead the proper forum for a legal challenge is through New York courts. Constitution limits federal government authority in state law enforcement. Since Trump is at risk of other indictments in the future, republican oversight committees appear to be trying to obstruct justice.

House Republicans have no legitimate legislative interest in this matter, other than attempting to obstruct justice.

The US DC Circuit Court of Appeals said that Corcoran must provide additional testimony and turn over documents about the former president as part of the criminal investigation into possible mishandling of classified documents.
In response to the decision, a Trump spokesperson said, that “there is no factual or legal basis or substance to any case against President Trump” and that “prosecutors only attack lawyers when they have no case whatsoever.”
*Same song we've heard before....lie and deny.

The announcement from a panel of three judges in the appellate court – less than a day after Trump sought to put Corcoran’s testimony on hold – adds momentum to the special counsel investigation as it seeks to secure evidence that could make or break a federal criminal case against Trump.

Trump, Turning Up Heat, Raises Specter of Violence *if* He Is Charged
NY TIMES - In an overnight social media post, disgraced former President Donald Trump predicted that “potential death and destruction” may result if, as expected, he is charged by the Manhattan district attorney in connection with hush-money payments to a porn star made during the 2016 campaign.

His lawyers possible testimony could be a game changer!

Watchdog Media matters reveal that Fox news ignore Trump inciting of violence and racist attack against Bragg. Several January 6 defendents blame Trump for their attack on the capital. Similar to Trump, Putin also considers an arrest for war crimes to be an act of war.

NPR/PBS/Marist poll reveals a majority of Americans say the multiple investigations of Trump are fair and not witch hunts. Most Americans don't want Trump to be president again. Oddly, most republicans still want Trump. Hard to see how Trump can win a general election. But also hard to see how he loses republican nomination.

The decision whether to indict former President Donald Trump over hush-money payments made on his behalf during his 2016 presidential campaign lies with a Manhattan grand jury that has been hearing evidence in secret for weeks. An indictment of Trump, who is seeking the White House again in 2024, would be an unprecedented moment in American history, the first criminal case against a former U.S. president. - Associated Press
turning into a recuring soap opera now
shouldve already happened

Finally, Manhattan grand jury vote to indict Trump. Making him the first president in US history to be charged with a crime after leaving office. Next, Trump or his lawyers could negotiate a surrender. If he refuses, officials can go to Florida to ask for his extradition to New York.
