Inhumane for republican states to use migrants in crude political stunt that really doesn't solve humanitarian crisis.  Since migrants have been fooled into agreeing to travel to sanctuary cities, prosecution by justice department may be justified under racketeering laws.  Despite republican claims, there is no open border and most migrants are turned away.  But the right to seek asylum through legal process is guaranteed by US and international law.

More, less, or the same as the flight?  Should tax payers of the state have to pay for illegal aliens to stay?   There is a process to becoming an American citizen. It takes time, but can be accomplished with the correct avenues.

Coming from someone who owns and a operates a staffing company in California, I can tell you that illegals are a huge problem. Based on our personal experience, illegals and citizens do not wan to work right now. They are getting welfare or aide from the State and don't wish to disturb that income. We have plenty of open positions and we schedule interviews and they don't show up. Not only do they not show up they don't even communicate why they are not showing up. No phone call, no email or no text. This wasn't happening pre pandemic. It's really bad and our customers are experiencing the same problems. People just don't want to work. Doesn't matter whether they are legal or illegal. 

We don't knowingly hire illegals but I'm certain that we have illegals on our payroll. Those illegals that provide good hiring documents will just sneak through. It's inevitable. You can't deny work if the documents look good. Not only do we find that a lot are getting some sort of financial aide, we also find that they are not spending the money they do earn here in the states. They send the money home to Mexico or wherever their family is and that also does nothing to help our economy. Earning money here in the States and counting that person as an employed worker skews the statistics because it is assumed that if you work here the money will primarily be spent here. Not the case. Most of the money earned is spent internationally so that also affects the economy. 

And those that think only hispanics will work the fields, think again. I live in a predominantly agriculture area and the labor laws used to be unfavorable to agriculture workers. They didn't earn overtime until after 10 hours in a day or 50 in a week. The new laws changed for agriculture employees with our aggressive minimum wage increases over the past 5 years. Just so everyone knows, in case you didn't, agriculture workers get paid the same as any other employee nowadays in California. Anything over 8 in a day or anything over 40 in a workweek. Just like a clerical person would. And if you are not aware, California has a bill right now that is proposed to move overtime for anything over 32 hours in a week, thus trying to force the 4 day workweek. I believe it got denied but it will pick up steam again I'm sure.

If the government expects to use private recourses to house personal than the principal can be utilized that states recurve compliance for housing food ext ext....

Agriculture and farming positions .

Without adequate housing and hygiene standards end poorly.

That's only if the farmers are housing the workers. Not all do. In fact, we have a housing facility in our area where the workers can have their own setup similar to a hotel but in its own space located close to the farming areas but off the farms. You can provide the means of proper hygiene but you can't force one to use it.

Instead they engage in political stunts that help no one.  Years ago, bipartisan bill on immigration reform was achieved.  But republicans block it.  When Obama asked republicans to present their own bill, they have none.  Instead republicans left immigration policy to Obama.  History shows republicans ignore problems and oppose solutions.  Whereas at least democrats see problems and offer solutions.
