When he was running for president , Donald J. Trump embraced the hackers who had leaked Hillary Clinton’s emails to the press, declaring at a rally in Pennsylvania, “I love WikiLeaks!”

The crowds of deplorables cheered that night

this is the same guy who encouraged Russia to hack DNC and Hillary Clinton servers

“It’s been going on for a long time before me, but now it’s really going on,” Mr. Trump said of the leaks, accusing those who spread the information of “trying to cover up” for Mrs. Clinton’s loss in the election last year. He also added that there were “documents and papers that were illegally.

There is nothing legal about Wikileaks

In an interview with Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor,”  candidate Trump attacked then-President Barack Obama for being “weak” and “ineffective” on issues of foreign policy. 

“I believe I know far more about foreign policy than he knows,” Trump said. “Look at Ukraine. He talks about Ukraine [and] how tough he is with Russia, in the meantime they took over Crimea.” 

Two weeks before President-elect Trump was inaugurated, he took to Facebook to explain how Russia will respect the U.S. again under his leadership. 

“Having a good relationship with Russia is a good thing, not a bad thing. Only ‘stupid’ people, or fools, would think that it is bad! We have enough problems around the world without yet another one. When I am President, Russia will respect us far more than they do now and both countries will, perhaps, work together to solve some of the many great and pressing problems and issues of the WORLD!” 


Fox News reported Tuesday that a Russian spy ship was spotted patrolling off the east coast of the United States. Officials say that the ship was seen 70 miles off the coast of Delaware and was moving north at 10 knots.

This is the third visit by the Vishnya-class Viktor Leonov an intelligence collection ship to the U.S. coast since 2014.

It has not entered U.S. territorial waters..........

Shouldn't liberals, who profess themselves to be champions of human rights, be outraged by this illegal intrusion into the POTUS's conversations? 

The left is putting forth the greatest effort in the history of this great country to completely and totally undermine a POTUS who is not even one month into his term. Most of these antics from the left are an affront to anyone who believes in the constitution. 

Free speech? ... only if you say with what we agree with
Right to privacy? ... only if you agree with our way of doing things
Right to religious freedom? ... only if we approve
Right to bear arms? ... guns kill people, it's not the fault of the felon pulling the trigger

Then there is the Obama led IRS targeting fiasco ...
If someone is not in lockstep with our beliefs, we will simply have our piranha-like government agencies go after them, and prohibit them from doing what they have the legal right to do. 

The left has become so blatant in their disregard for law and rights, and no one from the left seems to be bothered by any of it.

Some political activity involves theatricality in order to make a larger point or to boost publicity for one's cause. This has been referred to as "political theatre" or "guerrilla theatre". In the United States, the Youth International Party in the late 1960s became widely associated with such gestures.

Let's go back to 20-January-2009 

Citing a Rasmussen poll, Trump told the assembled reporters and television viewers at home that his approval rating sits at 55 percent and climbing even though multiple other polls show him with historically low approval ratings for a president one month into his administration. He said the American public understands that his presidency has been a success thus far despite critical reports in the media.

In response to a question about threats to Jewish centers nationwide, Trump called a Jewish reporter a liar, told him to sit down and later said antisemitism was coming from "the other side."

The exchange kicked off as Trump looked through the room at his White House press conference and asked for an easy question from a "friendly" reporter who liked him.

The journalist identified himself as Jake Turx with Ami Magazine. Turx prefaced his question by saying he did not see evidence the President or his staff were antisemitic.

Here's the rest of the exchange:

Turx: "What we are concerned about, and what we haven't really heard being addressed, is an uptick in antisemitism and how the government is planning to take care of it."

Trump, interrupting: "See, he said he was going to ask a very simple, easy question, and it's not."

Turx: "It's an important one."

Trump: "Not a simple question. Not a fair question. Okay, sit down. I understand the rest of your question."

Funny how leaks were not important back in Sept Oct and Nov but now all of a sudden they are. Personally I believe they are very important especially now with the fraud in chief in office.

I must have missed this one ...Director Comey claiming the call was illegal..I do remember,that the Bureau cleared Mike Flynn's call to Sergei Kislyak, Russia's ambassador ,,of wrongdoing..

If, you have a citation of the F.B.I. calling it an illegal call ..please post. Otherwise it is just more flaming fake news...

Yates and a senior career national security official to the White House counsel, was prompted by concerns that ­Flynn, when asked about his calls and texts with the ­Russian diplomat, had told Vice ­President-elect Mike Pence and others that he had not discussed the Obama administration sanctions on Russia for its interference in the 2016 election, the officials said. It is unclear what the White House counsel, Donald McGahn, did with the ­information.

In a Feb. 8 interview with The Washington Post, Flynn categorically denied discussing sanctions with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, repeating public assertions made in January by top Trump officials. FBI director James Comey told a Senate panel that there was "penetration on the Republican side of the aisle and old Republican National Committee domains" no longer in use. Republicans have previously denied their organizations were hacked.

Comey later added that "there was evidence of hacking directed at state-level organizations, state-level campaigns, and the RNC, but old domains of the RNC, meaning old emails they weren't using. None of that was released."

Comey said there was no sign "that the Trump campaign or the current RNC was successfully hacked."
Asked by Sen. Mark Warner, a Virginia Democrat, whether the hacker had the ability to selectively leak that old information, Comey indicated that they did.
Comey also said that the Russians "got far deeper and wider into the (Democratic National Committee) than the RNC," adding that "similar techniques were used in both cases."

There were frequent questions about ties between the Trump campaign and Russia during the hearing. Earlier on, Comey refused to comment on whether the FBI is investigating any potential connections.
"I would never comment on investigations," Comey told Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat who repeatedly pushed the FBI director to release any information it had before Inauguration Day.
"If it doesn't happen before Jan. 20, I'm not sure it's going to happen," Wyden said.


But Sen. Angus King of Maine, an Independent, alluded tartly to Comey's very public statements about investigations into Clinton during the election campaign -- "the irony of you making that statement I cannot avoid."

Comey said that there was a difference between open and closed investigations. He pushed back on King, saying, "You asked me if you have any pending investigations and we're not going to talk about that."
He added that "I'm tone deaf on politics and that's as it should be."

Fox News anchor Shepard Smith on Thursday criticized President Trump for bashing reporters gathered at a lengthy Thursday press conference, calling on him to answer legitimate questions from news outlets. 

"(Trump) keeps repeating ridiculous throwaway lines that are not true at all and sort of avoiding this issue of Russia as if we're some kind of fools for asking the question. Really?" Smith said. "Your opposition was hacked and the Russians were responsible for it and your people were on the phone with Russia on the same day it was happening and we're fools for asking the questions?"

Trump was repeatedly asked by reporters from different publications about reported conversations between his campaign aides and Russian officials. Trump blasted such stories as "fake news" and berated journalists.

"Russia is fake news. Russia — this is fake news put out by the media," he said at one point.

Trump maintained that he is not aware that any of his campaign aides had any improper communications with Russian officials.

"No sir," Smith continued. "We are not fools for asking this question, and we demand to know the answer to this question. You owe this to the American people. Your supporters will support you either way. If your people were on the phone, what were they saying? We have a right to know, we absolutely do and that you call us fake news and put us down like children for asking these questions on behalf of the American people is inconsequential. The people deserve an answer to this question at very least."

Smith also defended CNN reporter Jim Acosta, who pressed Trump for answers on several points. Acosta and Trump have frequently sparred at past press conferences. Thursday Trump said he was upgrading CNN from "fake news" to "very fake news." 

Smith defended Acosta during the segment Thursday, calling him "an accomplished reporter, a guy I've never met, but a good reporter."

Jim Acosta thanked Smith for his defense in a tweet shortly after the segment aired. 

During Thursday's press conference, Acosta told Trump, "Just for the record, we don't hate you. I don't hate you," as he prefaced his question for the president.

Trump shot back, “Ask [CNN President] Jeff Zucker how he got his job, OK?” adding that CNN’s ratings aren’t “good right now.”
