Elon makes offer to buy 100% of Twitter

“Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company. (…) I am offering to buy 100% of Twitter for $54.20 per share in cash, a 54% premium over the day before I began investing in Twitter and a 38% premium over the day before my investment was publicly announced”

This would be a major victory against the establishment and their stranglehold on information 

For that reason I don’t think it will happen 

He previously polled Twitter

I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy. 

However, since making my investment I now realize the company will neither thrive nor serve this societal imperative in its current form. Twitter needs to be transformed as a private company.

At this time Musk owns 9.2% of twitter stock for which he paid 2.9 billion. This guy is also a 'transhumanist' and owns some of the human brain chip technology so I am not comfortable with the idea of viewing him as a steward for human freedom. 

“Transhumanism” is the idea that humans should transcend their current natural state and limitations through the use of technology – that we should embrace self-directed human evolution. 

Personally I prefer him being involved in that market and shedding light on it rather than him not being in that market and that market running in darkness.

Could you imagine Trump getting back on Twitter and annihilating Joe Biden on a daily basis? 

It’s too good. This will never happen. 

If Elon’s offer is not accepted, then the platform is doomed. It’s an extremely good offer and great for shareholders. The only reason to decline is a zealous commitment to censorship. If that’s who’s running the company, then just shut it down.

I fail to see the concern between owning a social media site and pursuing technology. Technology will advance with or without Musk's participation. Better us than the Chinese. Someday chips will be added to the human brain and then someday the human consciousness will be implanted into a machine. (Not in our lifetime) To believe humans will travel through space like Jean-Luc Picard is naive. It will be machines.

I’ve seen a lot of outrage today over the idea of Elon buying Twitter.

I’ve never seen outrage at a Saudi prince owning the biggest chunk of Twitter.
You know, Saudi Arabia, the place where journalists are killed, free speech suppressed and a bloody war in Yemen funded.

In SA homosexuality and being transgender are widely seen as immoral and indecent activities, and the law punishes acts of homosexuality or cross-dressing with capital punishment, fines, public whipping, beatings, vigilante attacks, vigilante executions, torture, chemical castrations, imprisonment up to life and deportation. 

The progressive left has no moral compass and no real understanding of the issues. They have no critical thinking skills. Their fake outrage is controlled by The Establishment and they are controlled puppets on a string.

They united to censor accurate reporting and authentic documents about Joe Biden right before the 2020 election, and in its place put the CIA lie that it was "Russian disinformation."
