No one is above the law. For a judge to approve the search warrant, FBI must show there is probable evidence of a crime. Trump is a suspect in mishandling of classified documents. Historically, no former president has his home raided by FBI before. But no one else is as corrupted as Trump.

Feds take there time. This is a little different but when it comes to street shit, the Feds will surveil and surveil and surveil, and even ignore other crimes they may witness in the course of said surveillance, until they are pretty damn sure they've crossed their t's,dotted their eyes, and they've got you. They aren't like local.agencies that will arrest someone, often when there won't even be an indictment. Or indict when there isn't a chance of conviction. If you've known someone that has never caught Fed charges, they're like, "We got you. We've been watching you for a year come in and out of this location. We know about the goings on our in so and so. Remember that vacation to blah, blah, blah? We were watching you then too. Oh hey, how's your wife feel about your mistress up in yadda yadda?" They'll compile a ridiculous amount of evidence.
