Not only did the promoted republican wave  failed to materialize in midterm elections.  Now dubious republican House majority appears to be due to cheating by gerrymandering and lying candidates such as Santos.  This shows MAGA republicans are desperate to gain power at any costs.

Same as Pocahontas, Richard Blumenthal, AOC lied about her whole upbringing. 

Biden makes up wild stories about his past and education.  Corn pop, etc.

Hillary says she came under fire and made stories up.   

Obamas lied about their background. 

None of them were disqualified.

For his part, Trump is likely to either praise Santos publicly or ridicule and condemn the media for surfacing the true facts about that fraud.

Pathological liar Santos isn't the exception but rather the poster child for MAGA republicans using underhanded ways to steal power.  No democrat is as unscrupulous in lying about everything in resume.  Santos scandal reflects rot of current GOP that embraces Trump's big lie about stolen election despite no evidence.  GOP used to be the party of family values and moral majority but far right extremists changed all that.  Now GOP chooses politics over integrity, ideology over country and lies over truths.

Oh, did he point out he was only trying the successful path Biden took? That would make sense.

False equivalence to compare Santos with Biden.  Over decades, Biden said relatively few lies often just errors made far apart with no serious scandal.  In contrast, Santos lies about everything on his resume to intentionally deceive voters.  Santos scandal reflects far worser corruption of MAGA republicans who embrace big lie about stolen election despite no proof.  For example, Trump has made over 30,000 false statements in 4 years according to Washington post.

It's a shame.

Well, we escaped Herschel Walker but we may not escape this embarrassing GOP circus - since the republican REFUSES to do the honorable thing.

So called "leader" McCarthy won't say a thing though, because he desperately wants a vote from Santos for House Speaker.   Personal greed for power over doing the honorable thing.
