More evidence released in Trump's criminal election subversion case

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -

A U.S. judge on Friday made public more evidence collected by prosecutors in the federal criminal case accusing [the racist, convicted felon] of attempting to overturn his defeat in the 2020 election.

The hundreds of pages, many of which were blanked out and marked "sealed," include material referenced in a sweeping court filing from Special Counsel Jack Smith made public earlier this month that argued that Trump is not immune from the remaining allegations in the case.

Trump's attorneys filed a motion Thursday to attempt to
delay the release of the appendix until November 14 —
nine days after the 2024 presidential election,
but Chutkan rejected their arguments.

Witness names were blacked out, but some could be identified by matching them up with other known events. For instance, Trump's former AG William Barr describes being summoned to the White House after an interview in which he declared the election had *NOT* been marred by large-scale fraud, and expecting he would be fired.

A few days after that interview, Trump announced on social media that Barr had stepped down.

Smith’s court filing contained a detailed account of Trump’s efforts to illegally hold onto power following his election loss, including descriptions of Trump’s conversations with family members and aides.

On January 6, 2021, LaCivita reposted several posts that harshly condemned Trump, suggesting that even some of his closest allies once viewed the deadly outcome as a direct result of Trump’s lies.

If he claims victory, Trump will be the first convicted criminal to win the White House and gain access to the nuclear codes.

If he falls short, the 78-year-old faces more humiliating courtroom trials and potentially even time behind bars. It would be the end of a charmed life in which he has somehow always managed to outrun the law and duck accountability.

For Trump, Tuesday is judgment day.

Because of the win,

the judge overseeing his sentencing in the fraud case where a JURY convicted him on all 35 felony counts, will most likely let him off the hook completely...or at best a few weeks home confinement in his mansion - which he would violate anyway, knowing there's nothing can be done about it....

ANYONE ELSE convicted by a JURY on 34 felony counts would be imprisoned.

theres talk of suspending the cases until after rump leaves white house in four years  then re litigate

 The Justice Department's long standing policy prevents prosecution of a sitting president.

It wasn't dropped on the merits of the charges.

You can laugh now but let's see if you are laughing at the end of his term. That's providing he lives that long.
