But nowadays if a black person is a conservative or Trump supporter, boy do they get a verbal beating, well some more than verbal. But as long as they stay in line with Democrats, they are ok.

Northern Democrats fought to end slavery, and introduced Civil Rights Protections during Jim Crow Era, which Southern Democrats (slave states, segregationists, plantation owners in the South at the time) blocked and prevented. Southern Democrats then left the party and became???? Wait for it...Republicans.
