    @Brooklyncapper

I agree. It is going to be close, but I think the debate showed Trump still doesn't care he is alienating women. I mean, seems like his 4 years in office, then 4 years golfing, is similar to his long publicized divorce with Ivanka splashed all over the Enquirer for what seemed like years (was years ago). He is 'divorcing' from women, just disregarding them totally. Don't Trump upporters see that he will be surrounding himself and THEM by association, with an ARMY of 'Cat ladies" who will be online with their Blue Wave armies harassing them? Or forming protests everywhere, and they will not get tired. So there is this disregard for women and he disregards his base supporters, leaving them as targets. The best thing for Trump and his supporters is to lose. There is no policy change he can or will do. He doesnt form talented teams. The trickle down effect of his personality on the nation is toxic--sarcasm, saying the quiet parts out loud, being rude, cutting....obnoxious.

Obama was a great President NOT for his policies, but for his demeanor. The bureacracies took him to the shed.....7 wars in the Middle East; banksters plundering the Treasury, giving themselves mega-raises while poorer people lost their homes; a health care plan that was hijacked by Health Insurers and Big Pharma, and is mostly unaffordable and a shell of what he envisioned. But he is rightly popular for being a role model for behavior, for at least dreaming and keeping people together. Trump is divisive in just about every way imaginable, and is not limited to "hyper sensitive childless cat ladies." It's across the board.

I'm not a US citizen, but I see that the US has just one party really, and that foreign policy is dictated not by the voters, but by entrenched bureacracies and agencies who have control of agendas they want to see happen, regardless of who is in office. For example, once Ukraine winds down, a war with Iran is likely (similar to the closure of Afghanistan was needed to begin efforts on a new front/mission). But this trickle down effect of personality is more important than people realize...unreal that it comes down to Pennsylvania, but that's what Nate Silver is saying (who now endorses Harris).

Please point out where I said YOU Are spinning lies.I specifically said in post #146 "I ain't the one spinning the story,TRUMP LIED and SPUN his own story",not you,but trump. That's the only time I mentioned someone "spinning" something,so I don't know where you think you read I supposedly mentioned YOU SPINNING something.Nice try though.

    You are defending trump,

1.in your post #138,"So,(trump)partially correct in that someone was caught eating a cat, just wrong place and not an immigrant".

So in other words, trumps statement is just a lie,no need for the "partially correct" statement, the statement he made is just a lie.

    2. in your post #142, "He was partially correct in that someone was eating a pet or an animal such as a dog or cat".

Again,no need for the "He was partially correct",it was just a flat-out lie what he said, doesn't matter if there is 1 morsel of truth to it.His statement that he made that it was migrants eating cats,is just a flat out lie.

3.another of your posts in #142,"but the truth is that it is not inaccurate to state that there are people in Ohio,or person, eating cats. That is an accurate statement. The rest is false however. One factual comment and the rest off base and not true.It is what it is".

You are right it is not inaccurate to state that there are people in Ohio eating cats. But that's not the statement trump made,he said specifically that there were migrants who were eating cats.So as the rest of the sane world would call it,he flat out lied. It's not "one factual comment and the rest off base and not true.It is what it is",its just his statement is a flat out lie. That "is what it is",it's a flat out fuckin lie.

Then you say "Where did I complain about the moderators fact checking him".

In your post #120,"the 3 haters I was referring to were Harris and the 2 moderators,David Muir and Linsey Davis. All 3 were clearly against trump".

The only way the moderators could of been against trump is when they "fact checked" him. What other reason could you be complaining about them for, asking trump questions in a debate?

Funny how a Canadian sports forum has a political sub forum for American politics.  an_eek2

But this trickle down effect of personality is more important than people realize...unreal that it comes down to Pennsylvania, but that's what Nate Silver is saying (who now endorses Harris).

was not aware of that last point

    Donald Trump’s camp reels
    after debate injects new doubt
    into his re-election bid

    FINANCIAL TIMES -

            Donald Trump’s campaign is reeling
after his poor performance in the debate against
Kamala Harris exasperated Republican allies who
thought he had been unprepared, outplayed by Harris,
and delivered erratic messages to voters.

Although Republican strategists and lawmakers did not
think Trump’s uneven performance had crippled his
campaign, many conceded the former president had
struggled and that his re-election bid now looked more tenuous.

an_light    The former president appeared rattled at several points,
including when Harris questioned the size of the crowds at
his campaign rallies. In response Trump railed about migrants,
rehashing an internet conspiracy theory that some
were stealing people’s pets to eat them.

The debate had shown “Trump at his absolute worst,”
said Frank Luntz, the veteran pollster who has worked
for many Republicans over the years.

    @fubah2

The dogs and cats hyperbolic racist laden display was astounding--I think Kamala's reaction reflected everyone else's watching, except as you say the "millions of MAGAs."

It is worrisome to see a world leader make disparaging comments like that, and more worrisome is the effect it could have downstream on his followers, who will be starting a chorus of comments about a culture/race/or failing state. How can this be good for American culture or American geopolitical aims? The Global South is drifting away from the US, esp Africa, and they are turning to the Chinese and Russia. America is losing "soft power" in this important part of the world. Rhetoric and personality ARE important strategically not just culturally.

We know what trump will give us, and it will be sarcasm. Well, his followers call that humor, but sarcasm is never humor. And a world leader should never engage in it. I don't even hear Putin engaging in such loose talk, trying to land a "gotchya" on people who are trying to establish a world of common ground and decency. Maybe a more presidential remark would be"....there was mismanagement placing 20,000 migrants from one origin into Springfield, a town overwhelmed with this bad decision...." But trump is not ideal and never will be at these moments. He fires off very heated daggers, in some ruse of helping the citizens, but none of them want that heated rhetoric. They want responsible level headed governance.

Maybe if trump had good policies, but in reality, he is just as war mongering as he claims the neolib establishment is, and he is double beholden to Goldman Sachs as they are; his cabinet choices are not an improvement. All you get is enflamed divisive rhetoric.

"I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT" is not funny. I don't even think it's sarcasm. It is mental derangement. How will this unite the nation culturally? Isn't that his job? Good Lord....

    America has been warned........

Ya, the votes are in but as usual Trump denies the results because it doesn't show him as the winner!

So he makes up lies about it.
