    @kcblitzkrieg

     If you dig deeper into the concept of wealth equality it has some valuable social roots and rationale. A reason why a balance is something discussed is that inequity for those with the least power, least resources, least opportunity  has been in place for generations so those with the resources, power, funds, opportunities keep in control and can dictate what those without can do and their opportunities and lives. This very country and Europe and Russia and most any civilization has precise examples of this. Those who control society enslave those without and in philosophical, political, economic theory that is something we have grappled with and continue to grapple with.

    Socialism and distribution of wealth has great advantages and can be very powerful and positive, Communism actually got traction because of an extreme imbalance of wealth and we saw that in Russia centuries ago. The problem is not with the concept it is with the extremes and it is with the lack of participation from all groups. I wouldnt take issue with a wealth balancing because the wealth inequality usually comes from the enslaving and burden on the least and extreme levels of wealth really does not serve any positive purpose in society so a balance of extremes makes good sense to me if the theory was able to be executed and all groups behaved reasonably.

    If Harris has that view there is probably good reason for it, she probably has perspective that most here do not and her objectives of balance is not some awful thing and we should try to make society better for everyone not just reward those with power and opportunity. These kind of issues are not really about the outliers and extremes, or the examples used by politicians to form a narrative (say like socialism makes people lazy etc).

     Getting destroyed an_roll_laughan_roll_laughan_laughthejester  nobody that thinks trump was a good president, is a good businessman, and a good man could mop the floor with anyone. Maybe mopping the floor at a gas station. an_roll_laugh  trump and his minions are everything thats wrong with this country.

    Funny how police are good unless they were at the capitol the day of the invasion and then they get eviscerated and treated like crap.

    Success is never final, failure is never fatal, and it's the courage that counts.

    Take out Covid, as I don't think any president has had to deal with a global pandemic. Tell me what was so bad about Trump's first 3 years. Going to go ahead and remind you to stay on point of the question. A reminder, January 6th, that really no one cares about other that TDS people happened in 2021. 2017, 2018 and 2019, tell me everything that was wrong with Trump those three years. an_popcorn

     Every president and government in the world dealt with it and 95 percent did a better job. Trump corporate tax breaks caused inflation and he started with obamas economy. He did absolutely nothing Good in his presidency.  Well for himself buying Judges and saving his self

    Right that is why the Clintons, Obamas, Pelosis and I am sure the Harris' have all massively increased their wealth since ascending to "public office." Give me a break. Hypocritical fodder at best. No I didn't mean we will redistribute MY WEALTH but YOUR WEALTH. Mmmmmkkkkkk.

    So Trump did nothing good in your opinion. I guess that's why Trump is more trusted to fix the economy than anyone else. Because his economy thrived. And his tax breaks had nothing to do with inflation. Nice try.

     Trump had ZIRP, to me that is more valuable than the downside of Covid. Biden did not have ZIRP and in fact during Biden's term rates increased at a velocity we have not seen since Volcker in the 70s and yet the economy and market did well.

     Cramerica is a clown show, what he says do the opposite,...or wait he double speaks all day long so you cannot do the opposite he flip flops like a flounder.

    Cramerica is a corporate shill making money off selling his gear on CNBC, you need a better example than that dope.

     Your failure to realize the subject matter does not matter in my assessment only goes further to prove my point.....

    It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes by the great Keanu Reeves....I have to remind myself of this on a regular basis as I wade through this cesspool....

    "I'm at the stage in my life where I stay out of discussions, even if you say 1+1 = 5, you're right - have fun...."

     Not sure why anyone with trust the ling of bankrupcies and lost money as a businessman.  Hes a fraud and facade. Slaps his name on a building and did nothing worthwhile for society in his whole life. Mnuchin was the business person not him! Trump wont show hos taxes cause he will embarass himself. Pays less then you!

     If you dig deeper into the concept of wealth equality it has some valuable social roots and rationale.

    Yes, but it is the method or pathway taken in search of this concept that has been the root of historical problems....

    Kramerica Industries was a phenomenal fictitious corporation....it brought us the following inventions:

    1. Ketchup and mustard in the same bottle

    2. Coffee table book about coffee tables

    3. Calvin Klein's cologne - The Beach

    4. PB&J's restaurant that only serves peanut butter and jelly sammiches

    5. The infamous periscope for your car so you can see the traffic

    6. And the rollout tie dispenser

    I would invest heavily in this stockpeace_5

    Then why all the inflation in your opinion? Also if you take away the "magnificent 7" as they have been called, the stock market is either flat or down. They've been carrying the stock market, mainly AI.

    @Jarrett75

     Kinda beat that topic to a pulp so many times. Ive spent hours on the topic of inflation and its crickets or partisan badminton replies. If I seriously thought based on my education and the data AND history that this magic poof inflation was due to the government I would say so. I would not shade info or fake stuff to protect a political agenda.

    Inflation cannot move to the magnitude we experienced in the time frame we experienced without a curve SHIFT...a shift means something different than a slide on the demand/supply curve.

    The government couldnt even TRY to push inflation like we experienced, even if it meant the politician would win/lose an election. The scale of our economy is too large too complex and too disconnected from the government to even suggest the actions of a politician would swiftly ramp it like this.

    I like the olympic badminton reference...intentional or unintentional it's during a period where badminton is relevant..

    Viktor Axelsen is dominant...his gold medal match was fierce and showed his prowess...win

    So, if Harris and Walz win, Minnesota Lt. Governor Peggy Flanagan becomes the first Native American woman governor in U.S. history.
