Health plan 2018... up $295 a month......

What do I pay my rent or Health?

There is no fix for a service that everyone uses. We can all have an answer but in reality, there is no reality!

US has the most unaffordable healthcare system in the world with millions of Americans under insured.  Worst system among rich nations according to medical daily.  Low ratings according to world health organization and Commonwealth fund. 

Inefficiencies such as excess administrative costs from dealing with many insurers and unnecessary tests to minimize lawsuits. Hospitals charge high prices because they can get away with it.  

Costs are lower in other countries because of greater government intervention in reducing costs.  Unfortunately, US has fewer and weaker options.  Without Obamacare, insurance would be more expensive because of the loss of subsidies and smaller risk pool for insurers.

By immediately stopping a key set of ACA cost sharing subsidies, Donald Trump has tried everything to hurt mid to low income Americans in their healthcare insurances.
   
In California, for instance, insurers will levy a surcharge of up to 27% on silver-level plans.

As Trump should....We voted him in partially to blow up this health care system and destroy the last president's legacy. Blow those exchanges up Mr. President

Health care is privilege.........not a right

Premiums are a result of costs increasing..

So maybe instead of focusing on premium increases we should focus on why costs have, are and will continue to massively outpace CPI?

Not saying anyone in this thread of course but premiums have to go up when costs outpace revenues and since there is no end in sight to cost containment and most of the population are not willing to subsidize healthcare, the reality is premiums will keep going up...benefit will keep going down, co-pays up.

So you are suggesting that healthcare costs have not outpaced CPI prior to Obama, that this is an Obama issue and the solution is to blow something up.

after reading packers insanely ignorant and stupid comment above I must say that he is a WORLD CLASS IDIOT.

That is maybe the best example of cutting off your nose to spite your face that I have ever seen. The ignorance of some knows no bounds and is unbelievable.

saying healthcare is a right like every other civilized country is crazy, right?  given how expensive medical care is here, what's the alternative?  only the rich should be entitled to the best or most comprehensive medical care.  and the richest among us are often people who are born rich.  those folks should get the best healthcare.  that makes more sense?

If healthcare as a right was in the constitution fine...but it isn't it is a privilege. The constitution and Bill of Rights should be looked at as written not as a living document

Lot of bleeding hearts on this issue

that makes sense.  because healthcare, medical costs insurance companies, etc haven't changed much in the last 200+ years. 

how do you feel about black people being counted as 3/5 of white folks?

Subsidies to help lower the cost of premiums are still available: about 85 percent of Mainers qualify for them.

According to Maine's Insurance Superintendent Eric Cioppa
, “Most Maine residents who purchase insurance through the ACA Marketplace will have several plan options and, for those who qualify for federal subsidies, may find that they don’t have to pay much more for coverage in 2018."

Even if you're already covered under the ACA, it is important to shop for the insurance that is best for you as there have been a number of plan changes.

This is absolutley spot on.  Why are we constantly talking about how we are going to subsidize or throw more money at an issue instead of asking why the cost is so high.

i'm no expert in this area but my guess is because we are throwing a sh*t ton of money at insurance companies and those insurance companies throw a sh*t ton of many at politicians who make sure we keep throwing a sh*t ton of money at insurance companies. 

you know, how most stuff works in this country.

without effective cost control policies.... health costs will go as high as they possibly can. take an individual with no insurance he will pay the most for health care . insurance medicaid medicare negotiate a level they will pay it based on the standard minus a percentage the standard is the uninsured.

they do have to do emegency care regardless of ability to pay however any more technical issue or treatment can and is denied as well as antibiotics and other life saving medicine.


we pay the MOST and we are ranked 37th because our politicians are owned by the collection of the health care industry. pacs consist of pharma. dr and care givers, coorporate hostpial and nursing and rehab facilitiues all shoveling money at politicians efforts to be reelected or backing the opponent who will vote their way.

billions are spent but we have the lowest live birth, age expectancy and elderly over 55 free of disease.

guess we deserve this cause here our governments will is of the people..... (lmfao) we have been tricked for cheap.

Well, he's obviously a phony religious person who pretends to follow the teachings of Jesus but doesn't actually subscribe to any of what he professed.  Did Jesus suggest healthcare was a privilege?  I don't seem to recall that as being the conclusion he had.  It doesn't matter because I know most religious people are morons and GIANT hypocrites, but I sincerely doubt he can even provide a good argument as to why it's a privilege.  Everyone gets sick or seriously injured during the course of life.  I know turning your back on others is not the Christian way, at least not the people I've talked to who are truly pious.

health care was a priority with Jesus is it not written he could heal by touch? or by command as with the roman legionaire. 
 was not the apostle Phillip also a physician?

No answer on paying rent or health?

I did my shopping 1:37 that is 1 hour and 37 minute phone call with the  MKT Place. The plan I took from Geisinger HMO Gold 10/50/500. I'll pay both for another year........  Cut my payment in 1/2 with lower OOP/Deductible and $3 scripts??

Just do-it!
