The House is expected to vote on a resolution in support of Israel on Wednesday afternoon, according to a notice from the House Democratic whip.

The timing of the vote has been pushed, and it is now expect this around 4:45 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. ET.

It will need to come up as a suspension vote — an expedited process that requires a two-thirds majority for passage. 

Sources told CNN earlier Wednesday that there was a "big push" to bring the bill to the floor once the House elected a new speaker. Rep. Mike Johnson secured the speakership with 220 votes.

"The first bill that I'll bring to this floor in just a little while will be in support of our dear friend Israel," Johnson said during his first remarks after being elected House Speaker. "We're overdue in getting that done."

There’s a strong desire among Republicans to show a functioning House after being paralyzed for weeks following the ouster of former Speaker Kevin McCarthy. 

"We're going to show not only Israel but the entire world that the barbarism of Hamas that we have all seen play out on our television screens is wretched and wrong and we're going to stand for the good in that conflict," Johnson said.

Blindly backing Israel with weapons and cash so they can do their war agenda, what could go wrong?

Nice that the US taxpayer foots the bill for multiple decades long agendas and cashflows for US defense contractors.

Should we sit idly by as one side (Hamas & Hezbollah) has the "destruction of Israel " as their goal.  These lowlifes hunt down Israeli civilians,.. and then use their own Palestinian people as " human shields" 

I don't think we in the  United States were ever told to "stand down" after Pearl Harbor or 9/11.

The Israelis should we given a long leash to kick the shit out of the terrorists,  and finish them off.  Civilians will die...  It's unfortunate, but Hamas brought this on themselves.

 So to your reply, what did Israel do when 9-11 happened, did they throw in billions and offer to give whatever we needed? I dont seem to recall any other country that offered the US much more than "moral support" especially until the fake rollout of Iraq, until that turd was floated there was not much outside of outrage and media attention that came from other countries. We give and give and give to Israel and our input is not considered nor wanted outside their narrative and objective.

My point is how can we get in the middle of this situation when Israel is hip deep in responsibility? We are blindly taking their narrative when time and time again, over and over they show the world their responsibility and their agenda..and their objective and narrative is war and destruction. There cannot and will not be a positive outcome as long as the agenda is to wipe the other one off the map and not seek a better result. We should never blindly accept the agenda of another country who has a long term history of causing the problem and not working on a path of peace and acceptance. 

No groups existing there are seeking acceptance and peace, so there cannot be a good outcome and we cannot blindly back Israel and give them billions of dollars and our weapons when their objective is not based solely on peace and working with others in the area to make things better.
