So a few things off the bat, I don't think I have ever seen anyone agree with your points.  An opportunity to reflect, you won't.

I also am not sure if you're aware or not but Trump had a few bucks to his name before becoming a politician (you can thank Obama for that, running not bucks)

I am sure you haven't watched Trump and Bryson shoot 50.  I understand its easier to just speak in nonsensical generalities.

Finally, I directly addressed your point on Truth Social and you went into attack mode vs. accepting a reasoned response.  So again if you cannot even come to terms on something that simple you're either too partisan for a dialog or the intellectual gap between us remains.  

Your post does have me wondering if a silent retreat is similar to deflecting cause your voice is absent in a few of the older threads.

Yeah, its sad to actively have to seek news who will report fact in a palatable manner.

Interesting times though (and youre already seeing it) as the media reach is waining and the funders won't continue pouring money with decline in both financial returns or reach.

The only deflection in this thread was bringing up Trump, golfing, and the Bush clan. 

Politicans have been profiting off their position since the dawn of time.  Most profit legally, others like Robert Menendez face consequences for their actions by HOW they profited. 

Biden flying his son around the world on AF1 to conduct "business" where there is no question no tangable product/service was provided is called influence peddling. Hunter was not registered as an agent of a foreign enity, a FARA violation. The same law the Left has used to jail republicans. Biden saying he knew nothing of his son's business is a joke. Call was made from Joe's house demanding millions or Joe would be mad. 

IT IS NOT WHETHER I SUPPORT POLITICIANS PROFITING, IT IS HOW THEY PROFIT AND DO IT WITHIN THE LAW. AND WHEN THEY OUTRIGHT LIE ABOUT IT.

And when they walk away scot free even though many others with lessor violations are behind bars, yeah I'm going to gripe.

 Ok so you both want to stipulate based on how the gains were made that since Trump profited out in the open it is different than Biden's kid who did so behind the scenes. That MIGHT hold some validity if we are talking only Trump vs Biden but that is not the measure at all and I ask the question again...are you FOR or against politicians profiting off their political position? I didnt ask if you agree with public profiting or private profiting rather the financial gain from being in a political position?

To address your deflection regarding being in the open vs not, how do you categorize Bush and Bush lite and how they profited? I would compare Bush and Biden as to the lack of transparency into the way their family profited and the fact that the general public had no idea. Now if you want to stipulate AGAIN that since Biden's kid is a louse and is pretty scuzzy well I might say that Trump's kids are louses especially Donnie, I would compare Donnie and Hunter in many aspects and that both are slimy individuals but the stipulation that one method to financially gain is less an issue than another is just flat out deflection and partisan gargling. You cant point at Biden and then not do the same for Bush, they are very very similar and in some ways I guess if I am picking between gaining from Ukrainian businesses and the Saudis I would pick Ukraine.

In summary for me I am against political profiting and using the government then having your hand IN the government such as Trump, Biden, Bush, Musk, swami and any individual, I am not seeking to deflect away from the underlying core concept that there is no right way of profiting from being in or around public office and all/any who do so should be held to the same standard, not that due to some tangent concept one is immune and the other is not.

I still say the most evil disgusting politician (and family) is the Bush clan, and it is not even remotely close.

Where did I say Trump was penniless before joining politics? I might suggest his financial position is very overstated because he is not transparent with his financial reporting and as the NY legal issues showed he over stated his equity to gain margin loans on properties, he is an exaggerator but I dont care if he is dishonest in his financial dealings, I never said he was broke but you went there for some boring reason. I said TS would not have its market cap IF Trump were not active in politics, it might not even exist if he wasnt and thus is personal gain would be largely reduced if not completely and his crypto/NFT scamming would not exist if he were not in office. What is difficult about facing reality and understanding that YES Trump has greatly profited from being in the political arena? What is so rough to see such a simple conclusion?

If you want to fault Biden for using his political stock to financially gain then hold standards for Trump, Bush, both sides not just the one you dislike.

Yes, but as I have been saying for a while now, there is more to it than that.  You have the Media on the Left and the Democrats know it.  But they are taking those outlets for granted and not understanding the changing dynamics of what the folks are saying.

For example, look at a portion of this article about, are or less, that same thing:

The press began Trump’s Presidency with the Russia collusion hoax.

Years of lying continued with falsehoods about the COVID origins.

Flaherty didn’t go so far as to predict the death of the traditional media, but he said Democrats would eventually get fed up with the mainstream press’ lies and seek out alternatives.

“They’re never going to not trust the New York Times, and they’re never going to distrust the Washington Post,” Flaherty stated.

Democrats are already seeing this play out.

Ratings on MSNBC and CNN are down more than 50 and 40 percent since the election because viewers realized they lied to them about Kamala Harris’ chances of victory.

You can only mis/dis/un-inform people for so long before they get fed up, or at the least, stopping trusting what you say.

Instead of just 'reporting the news' they set an agenda and spin a narrative, often with twisted data or even outright lies.

Buddy, this is tip toeing the line of a personal attack.  I carefully choose my words and keep receipts, so if we want a third party to moderate our exchanges "of late" it's been you that has been out of pocket.  Or are you conducting both duties here?

Surprised Wall hasn't deleted this thread.  I posted (3 times) about the court halting 10% Big Guy from selling wall materials and and each were deleted one by one.....then I was handcuffed.  Talk about double standards, but that's what the Left excels at

Try discussing content not that you think I am unfair or that you get more likes than I do. Who cares about your buddies patting you on the back, the reason why there are issues is your side makes personal jabs and attacks as a consistent narrative while the other side keeps to themselves. Donnie reminds me squarely of Hunter, the only difference is Hunter has openly been known about his drug issues, Donnie has not. Both are zero ego testosterone goofs, both (and most around Trump) have financially taken advantage of their parents accomplishments, both completely lack morals and character. Bush and the Carlisle group/Saudi financial dealings are quite similar if not WORSE than Hunter and his pay day from the Ukraine dealings. I'd say Bush is a long ways worse, Hunter is chump change some little square dood trying to make a few bucks..not even close to the Bush accomplishments of corruption and conflicts of interest.

Honestly friend the relevant Bush for my age is Reggie Bush and I've graduated from having to research.

We all get the game of politics and to argue otherwise would be disingenuous.  But unlike Biden, Trump did write laws for 50 years (not literal).  Pretty sure I have heard interviews where he open admits if they have a problem with his loopholing, change the laws and he'll abide.

Much of the truth is going come out in the next 6 months, I hope you're at least open to some of it.

Frankly I see it on both sides.
