Both juries sided with her against Donald Trump.

Appeals court upholds $5 million award for E. Jean Carroll in sexual abuse case against Trump

President-elect Donald Trump lost his bid to toss out a New York jury's verdict that he sexually abused writer E. Jean Carroll in an upscale department store dressing room in the mid-1990s.

Let's get a few thinks straight because democrats love to say, "Trump’s a convicted felon! Trump’s a rapist!" And this this morphs into, "Trump’s a convicted rapist!" E. Jean Carroll sued Trump in civil court. This would have never been a criminal case because there is such a dearth of evidence, it would've never gone to trial. There was literally not enough evidence to prosecute him. And by not enough, I mean there was zero evidence. E. Jean Carroll accused him of penetrating her first with his fingers, and then briefly with his penis. The jury found that it was unlikely that he penetrated her with his penis but sure, maybe he finger banged her. That means by the jury's own verdict, they are saying she is likely a liar. Let that sink in. She claims one thing and they said, "No, we don't believe that happened."

They threw her a bone because this case was never about her or her story. It's was about being able to call Trump a rapist in an election. E. Jean Carroll is a pathological liar. She accused Les Moonves of sexual assault as well. And technically Hunter S. Thompson. There's just something about E. Jean, am I right?

I find it utterly hilarious that democrats based their whole campaign on abortion and calling Trump a rapist and women collectively said, "Nah, we're not buying into that bull doodoo. He made gains in every female demographic except black women. Every race and age group of women except black women moved their needle towards Trump and the republican party.

Always good to see a righteous judgement - as judged by a jury - is upheld!

A dressing room in a popular, and at the time, always busy department store. Dressing rooms that by policy were kept locked and staffed with by attendant, that had to be unlocked by said attendant before entering, on that faithful day, they were unattened and at least one was left unlocked. This isn't a Mervyn's we're talking about. Bergdorf was a tight ship in the 90s. Yuppie central. Yet Donald Trump slipped in unnoticed and raped a chick in a dressing room. This is the equivalent of Pizzagate.

When the 2nd defamation case appeal is heard I expect the same righteous result!

No evidence supports pizza gate conspiracy theory debunked by police.  However evidences show that it was more likely than not that Trump sexually abused Carroll.  So under civil law, jury reached the right verdict in defamation case.  Unlike criminal law which requires proof beyond reasonable doubt.

You're wrong. It shows You're clearly unfamiliar with the case. There was literally no evidence. On the contrary, there's more evidence that it was probably fabricated. Hence the jury saying that they don't believe her story as it was told. This is a deranged woman and the people who call Trump a rapist have never dug into her story. And that's all it is. A story. She lifted the idea from an episode of Law & Order. None of it adds up. She admits as much. Democrats just wanted so badly to believe it though.

The jury - approved by lawyers from both sides - had access to the all the available information/testimony (unlike anyone here) and after debate made their conclusion as per our laws and system of justice.   I applaud their effort.

No Stu, they know the case and like the jury, in a left dominated state, they don't care. They hate Trump so much they are willing to do what they know is wrong. Same with their elected leaders.

Now the lies is all they have to cling to.

Anyone here is also has access to court proceedings. You can literally read the court proceedings online. And you can read her claims and judge for yourself but it's definitely much easier to stick your head in the sand. That's always easier.

I find it hilarious because it's backfiring as I said it would.

That's President-elect pussygrabber. I guess the women of the country saw through the bullcrap and elected him anyway while a handful of liberal boomers across the country treat calling him a sex-offender like it's a constellation prize. He's not a sex offender though. He was sued in civil court.

The crazy thing is i'm not some big Trumper. Neither of us are. And I hate talking about this subject. My wife is disgusted by it, as if i'm defending a monster. I'm not defending him though. I'm simply stating the facts. There are glaring inconsistencies in her a story. A story penned to sell books. None of it makes sense. And the jury must've knew that because she said one thing happened and they said, "No, it didn't but we'll throw you a bone." This "case" was always about labeling Trump a rapist. That's why you have the uber liberal judge saying things like, "It doesn't constitute rape under New York law but it's rape." Whatever. It would be next to impossible for her story to be true but this civil suit was never about truth.
