What does provoking Russia do that is positive for our real allies, like most of Europe? What is our gain there? You cant suggest that we really think Ukraine is going to defeat Russia and we can put in some military satellite ops there can you? WWIII comes before Russia allows backyard NATO, just like we went bonkers with the prospect of Cuba being a sat for Russia.
I think what you are NOT seeing is a word DJT does not have in his vocab and I do not think you do either, Diplomacy...it means not blurting out every single stupid thought or idea or plan to the MSM or to Twitter...that is what Trump does, it is not what Biden or any president before the dopus ever did. So while I think Biden is not in favor of either situation (Ukraine or Israel) the media move is to say nothing and try to support who we feel we have to. There is NOOOOO way that Biden wants to ramp up or extend a Russia tangle but given what a total piece of work the Ukraine leader is what else can he do? What you don't do is say Putin is a murder without a soul and Kim is a thug. That may be great for vote getting but it is suicide on the world stage. Saying Putin and Xi is smart and Kim is "different" is a much better idea and will keep communication lines open for peace.
Trump may have overused Twitter calling Hilliary "Crooked Hilliary" and Pelosi "Crazy Nancy" yet he never was so stupid as to call world adversaries with nukes names.
And ya wonder why all was quiet during Trump admin. Third thinks he was just lucky, yeah right.

At a California fund raiser Biden called Putin (an adversary who has thousands of nukes) a "CRAZY SON OF A BITCH." Probably brought in a few more million with those words.
What are the chances now for peace in Europe with Biden at the helm?

A judge on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in an extraordinary dissent to a motion related to the Biden admin rule limiting asylum, scorched the administration for what he called "collusion" with an immigration activist group to put the rule on ice.
The case involves the Biden administration’s "Circumvention of lawful pathways" rule, which the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced last year as Title 42 ended. The rule limits asylum claims, barring those who have crossed illegally and failed to claim asylum in a country through which they have already traveled.
The administration said it was a key part of its efforts to control the crisis at the border, but it was soon blocked by a lawsuit by a liberal activist group. The administration then appealed that decision. However, both sides filed an appeal to put it into abeyance pending discussions of a settlement.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal panel agreed, but Judge Lawrence VanDyke, a former President Trump appointee, dissented from the decision and tore into the administration’s decision to seek a settlement.
"For months, the rule was so important that ‘any interruption’ in its implementation, even for a short period of time, would incapacitate the executive’s border response. This panel made decisions based on those representations. Now, the government implies the rule isn’t so important after all. Indeed, the government is now ‘engaged in discussions’ that could result in the rule going away. What?"
"At the very least it looks like the administration and its frenemies on the other side of this case are colluding to avoid playing their politically fraught game during an election year," he said.
He said that the administration looks like it is "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory — purposely avoiding an ultimate win that would eventually come later this year, whether from this court or from the Supreme Court."

I did answer, you implied that Biden is supporting Ukraine and that means what I suggested. I am guessing as none of us are on the military staff making decisions but the objective is to contain the situation as we have for decades, try to obtain stability and safety for our allies, reduce the risk of nukes and any offensive moves towards our allies. Do you need me to say all of the world leaders who are bad to state the obvious? There are many leaders who are abusive killers, Afghanistan alone is all the evidence we need to showcase how horrible Russia and their leaders are, but I dont think Biden has a crush on Putin like Trump does, but I also do not think Biden is stupid enough to consider Russia could be defeated and that the US or NATO could establish ops there, so what other objective would there be? Russia shows through Afghanistan that their MO is to bleed the other side dry over long periods of time and the Ukraine strategy is no different. Maybe the US has not learned about how Russia works and that they will continue methodical regular ops to wear down Ukraine AND bleed the US knowing the long term gain for doing so.
What does "punish Russia" mean, is it silly tariffs like we are seeing that they just navigate around or what does that mean to you?
