100% accurate statement if the cartel is smuggling them to the US...if they come by way of a coyote they can make payments by obtaining work and make weekly payments until debt is paid off...if they dont pay they take it out on your family members until you do pay...

The shit is whacked either way but coming over by way of the cartel has much more implications to Americans than those that come here by coyotes....most do not have to pay up front so payments become the norm...like you and I having credit card debt there debt comes in another form and has implications on their family members which makes the process very dangerous...it makes them very desperate people and that's the scary part...

 You would think NYC would be more alert and proactive:

A New York City nurse sounded the alarm on the Big Apple's "soft-on-crime" policies and the surge at the southern border after she was brutally assaulted by a migrant who entered the United States illegally.

Chelsea Mora was reportedly attacked by Edward Johnson, a repeat offender, in January at Jacobi Medical Center. Mora said when she went to take Johnson's vitals he hit her in the face, giving her a corneal hematoma and PTSD from the assault.

We're talking about illegal migrants, not home grown nutjobs though violent criminals do need to be behind bars.

About 3 weeks ago, there was a shooting in a part of Miami called Little Haiti. A Haitian woman was interviewed & said crime in Miami was greater than in her native Haiti. She stated it was very easy to get a gun in America. In fact, Little Haiti has the highest crime rate of any area in Miami. 

This past weekend, it was reported that her son was the person who provided the gun in the previous shooting.

A woman in the U.S. illegally is accused of causing a head-on, wrong way, crash that left a 12-year-old Missouri boy dead.

Travis Wolfe was just one day away from celebrating his 12th birthday when authorities say Endrina Bracho slammed into his family's car head-on.
