WOW...this is more than a mistake. It's a total fuckup.
The media usually has at least 2 sources or at least they did in the past when reporting something of this nature. And she certainly threw Axios & Reuters under the bus instead of taking ownership of her reporting.
I had no maliciousness intent in sharing this story & believed PBS had their shit together.

Walz has never corrected anyone when introduced as the Major anything, imagine introduction and your name is pronounced wrong... You always correct. The stolen valor is a legit question that he needs to eat crow on. Just because someone gets promoted to deputy commissioner and resigns a few weeks later does not mean you can rank n file that title for the rest of your life. "TIMMY" knew way before he stepped down that his men were going to combat. The bat phone call doesn't happen that way, as coordinated as Iraq storm was it wasn't fly by night.

In 2004, he submitted retirement papers before running for political office to improve veteran benefits. He retired months before his unit was notified in 2005 of deployment to Iraq. So Walz is right to be proud of his impressive 24 years military record.

Vance is a fraud and weirdo. Former friend Nelson denounces Vance as a political chameleon lacking integrity. Polls show Walz is far more popular than Vance who is more unpopular than disaster Sarah Palin. Even republicans think Trump picked the worst running mate in modern history. He only exacerbates Trump weaknesses. With only two years experience in government, Vance is obviously unqualified to be president if something happens to Trump.
