Great idea!   Probably get  between 10 - 30 votes from the CHAOS party  (many who still respect her conservatism and never in favor of ousting her for telling the truth about the trump fascist regime) and the House would finally have a speaker.   A rare responsible republican in Congress who is not a dumbphuckn election denier, not a part of the clown circus MAGA movement,  believes in democracy,  is not afraid to hold truth to power,  a rare republican who understands that trump is one of the absolute WORST - if not actually THE worst - US president of all time, and believes deeply in core conservative values, but at the same time has shown she is respected among many Dems and can work across the aisle.

Liz Cheney for speaker!

Cheney is a excellent choice.  Congress needs more moderates with the experience and wisdom for governing instead of anti-government extremists trying to burn things down.  But House should restore old rules otherwise no speaker can last long.  Now House speaker is the worst job in congress.

Say what you want about Pelosi but she ran her Speaker position with BALLS and an IRON FIST..... GOP could only wish to have someone that effective in place.  Won't happen any time soon.  

In tearful apology Jenna Ellis pleads    GUILTY in Georgia case

Washington CNN —

Former Trump campaign lawyer Jenna Ellis pleaded guilty Tuesday in the Georgia election subversion case and will cooperate with Fulton County prosecutors – the third guilty plea in the past week.

“If I knew then what I knew now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges. I look back on this experience with deep remorse,” Ellis said, her voice breaking at times.

The development comes after back-to-back guilty pleas last week in the sprawling case from former Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, who helped devise the fake electors plot.

These three plea deals are a monumental step forward for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who charged the case in August and is preparing for trials against Trump, his former attorney Rudy Giuliani, his chief of staff Mark Meadows and other top figures. (They have all pleaded not guilty.)

Ellis, Chesebro and Powell all agreed to testify on behalf of the prosecution at future trials.

By flipping, these onetime Trump insiders are now on track to become major Trump nemeses.

In a tearful apology in court, Ellis spoke of her personal “failures” and expressed “deep remorse” while disavowing her involvement in Trump’s legal efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

The conservative House Freedom Caucus,

against House Speaker Mike Johnson’s
two-part government funding plan.

Democrats save Johnson from embarrassment and vote for his short term funding plan.

Democrats support Johnson's stopgap bill because it is simply an extension of existing spending.  But any future bill from Johnson could be challenged.  MAGA republicans are hellbent on more spending disputes risking shutdown chaos next year.  In recent vote, 2 democrats and 93 republicans oppose Johnson's bill.  In September, almost as many republicans oppose McCarthy's bill which lead to his ouster as speaker.

He will still have all the same problems McCarthy had. Maybe more!

Yep, and that should be a big concern to a lot of people who "usually" receive federal government pay checks, like all our military. If t happens it will be caused by the republicans not the dems.
