CHAOS party losing people!

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana)'s already tenuous Republican majority is down one more member after a surprise retirement announcement by Rep. Bill Johnson (R-Ohio).

MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin tweeted Tuesday that Johnson would be resigning from Congress effective January 21, leaving Republicans with just 219 members to Democrats' 213, with three seats still vacant.

Assuming full attendance, Johnson can now only afford two defections from his caucus in order to pass legislation.

They already lost Santos because like so many other republicans he too got arrested.

And McCarthy quit because the radical MAGAs hated the fact he would not allow the US to default and withhold paychecks to our armed service.

Welp, my friends, the GOP CHAOS PARTY & CLOWN CIRCUS is back! 

They have openly rebelled today against Leader Johnston's spending deal with the Dems.

They want to hold America hostage to their far right agenda but Speaker Johnston feels that is not the proper way to govern.

So they all left the building in a huff cancelling the vote.

Electing MAGA republicans to House just produce more gridlock and chaos.  They cannot be trusted.  Congress is the least productive in decades because of republican hardliners who would rather shutdown government than to accept total spending within range of McCarthy's deal with senate.  But compromise is vital to deal making.  Pew research found that republicans are more divisive than democrats because they are less willing to compromise.  Although democrats are still a party of moderates, GOP has become too extremist and dysfunctional.

You do realize that both parties are in turmoil right? You and others keep on about Trump as if he just left office, yet your boy Biden has his own issues...if you are constantly worrying about the past are you blind to the present and future...neither Biden or Trump are the answer, however all this gloating about how bad Trump is and how great Biden is tells you how narrow minded some people in this country really are...there are real issues in the White House right now and how is the current president and leadership handling those issues...

I think where some of the frustration comes in from us fiscal conservatives is that we don’t need/want/care for right wing culture wars impacting:

- national defense by Tuberville’s culture war on military promotions and appointments

- the passage of a budget bill, again held hostage by only one party, every year, which results in a downgrade of the country’s credit rating (this also violates the Constitutional oath Congress takes)

- policy by Tweet 

- encouraging an attack on the Capitol to prevent a peaceful transition, despite going 0/64 in court to dispute the election. Later, praising the attackers as patriots.

Does Biden have problems? Absolutely! Was he my favorite candidate in the last election? No, he was my fifth choice.

A large portion of the country just wants stable leadership. You know, pass a budget bill without repeated shutdowns or threats of same. Stop threatening private citizens. 

If the GOP backed Nikki Haley or some other non-insane person, they could dramatically increase their odds of winning this election. Republican strategist Marc Thiessen made that exact argument yesterday in an editorial. 

But instead the GOP brings us only one option, and he’s a madman. Heck, his policies aren’t even conservative half the time, he’s more interested in retribution and attacking perceived opponents. Anyone who speaks out against him gets flooded with death threats. 

I have no interest in supporting any of that.
