There may be more truth there than you realize, or even want to accept. By reneging on responsibility to the American people and bowing to Trump, the Retardlicans most assuredly have alienated many a responsible citizen. BUT: It is impossible to accept Schumer and Pelosi as patriotic warriors, just out to right the country with no personal advantage grabbing. Just as it is impossible to compare current Republicans with Lincoln, Goldwater, Dirksen, Reagan and McCain, it is also impossible to think of Biden, Schumer and Pelosi in relation to FDR, Truman, Kennedy, Obama, etc. 

If JFK were alive today and attempted a sequel to Profiles in Courage, he would be unable to find eight Congresspersons, much less Senators, that put their careers on the line since his own assassination. The kind of courage he wrote of simply does not exist any more. Politics, on both sides of the aisle is win at any cost, only winning matters, integrity has nothing to do with it. 

Our political cupboards have been bare for some time now & I'm not real excited about those now warming up in the bullpen getting ready to throw their brand of bullshit at us.

I've never been this disappointed in our political leaders (although they were pretty bad during the Nam era) as I am now. It's going to take me awhile before I am in a conciliatory mood and willing to work with the other side. These last 4 years have been exhausting & it will be some time before this virus is in control, people are back to work and small businesses are operational again.

Something/somebody needs to bring us all together again relatively speaking.

And now the political payment is due for all of the coward enablers who leave another mess for a Democratic President to clean up. These people will be stained in history for eternity.

As far as Trump is concerned, he will be impeached again & the SDNY will get their pounds of flesh from him and his family.

Cowards will write salacious books for blood money explaining how they & others stopped Trump from creating even greater atrocities than we know of now. They will position themselves as heroes to the country but will forever be known as being part of this scourge on our country.

Now that his nightmare is coming to end I will visit this forum less frequently knowing that readers in this forum know where I have stood on issues. I will not miss the daily lies coming from the WH or the self congratulatory photo ops. I will support the incoming administration/Congress like I've always done until it was un-American to do so as in the past 4 years.
