A right wing sheep will point out that in both cases, there was a Republican Congress and assume they get all the credit. A normal rightie will give some credit to both the Congress and the White House. I agree with the latter. I would rather have a divided government for that reason.

U.S. household wealth increased in the second quarter to yet another record, driven by solid gains in financial assets and rising property values, figures from the Federal Reserve in Washington showed Thursday.

Highlights of Household Wealth Report (2Q)

  • Net worth for households and non-profit groups rose by $1.7t q/q, or 1.8%, to $96.2t, according to Fed’s financial accounts report, previously known as flow of funds survey
  • Value of financial assets, including stocks and pension fund holdings, increased by $1.2t
  • Household debt increased at a 3.7% annual rate in the second quarter 
  • Household real-estate assets rose by $508b; owners’ equity as share of total real-estate holdings up to 58.4% from 57.9%

Yeah nitpick instead of address the substance.  Well it had to be a claim of best or second best as there have only been 2 Dems during that period.    

Obama did basically nothing to resolve the debt issue (even though he called bush unpatriotic for running up 10 trillion) and its just as shortsighted to claim trump has.  Trump can't even get obama care repealed w a repub congress.  Washington is broken and none of the major issues (including debt) are being addressed

I knew this would happen. The previous administration turns the economy around after inheriting a sh*t show from the Bush white house. They lay the groundwork for financial growth and Trump waltzes in, no, that's too refined, he charlestons in and says, "Look what I did!" The one thing President Trump can take credit for is the stock market being up and that is only because of investor confidence being up because of Trump being a big businessman that has shown that he will look out for big businessmen. Not because it is good for the American people but because he wants to protect the profits of the rich.

What why do you believe that? The fact that he had always been anti-worker and anti-union in his own businesses? The fact that he's a real estate developer who buys chinese steel to save a buck while American steel mills close down and American steel workers, who voted for Trump, are unemployed. He manufactures goods overseas. He hires cheap, foreign workers both in construction and in the service industry. He's not a "blue collar billionaire" trying to protect the middle class. He's as white collar, silver spoon up the *ss as they come.

All of that sounds nice except you need just over $59,000 to qualify as middle class in this country and 78% of Americans make $30,000 or less.  There is no middle class and those statistics you posted mean nothing.

Yeah I guess the way you dipped into the partisan slop with the "libtard dems" comments drew my attention.

Who cares if he won in the blue collar states, I have an opinion on what attracted him to those states, but reality is Clinton was just a lousy candidate and so anyone with a golden ticket to promise all sorts of stuff you cannot deliver would be easy to choose over Hillary.

Campaign promises and big speeches fade, people forget what you promised and the lies spread so Trump was able to say and do pretty much anything he wanted and they followed.
