Then you can remove any member by the majority party.

I cannot believe that people are surprised that Greene is in Congress. 33% of the population outright believes that the election was fraudulent. 30% believe that Trump was the rightful winner. Knowing that there are States where 90% of the population believes the election was legitimate, it makes sense that you will have districts where the majority of the vote will buy into the conspiracy theories.

The Democrats always play these situations wrong. MTG is fucking gold for them. Let her spew her nonsense and make Republicans look foolish. I actually feel most Republicans are pretty similar to her in terms of what they believe and how they function, so it's best to allow her to continue with her antics. That will show the public the Republicans are simply too crazy/deplorable right now to vote for. DJ said 30% believe Trump rightfully won. I disagree. It's at least 70% of Republicans or more who feel that way. Some Republicans are trying to stay silent or they're planning some idiotic coup in private. Trump is destroying the party and MTG is a lunatic who doesn't know how to shut the fuck up. Beautiful. Simply fucking beautiful, gentlemen. Have you noticed most of the evil Republicans on this site have gone fairly silent? Don't take that as a sign that things are better. Evil never sleeps and is always plotting. You can be damn sure the scumbags have something in store for the future.

Your perspective is likely very accurate. It is still shocking to see so many American voters being that ignorant. Again, we continue to prove that we are not collectively a very intelligent country or culture.

I happen to have a short day (while tomorrow is long), so I want to chime in on this because I have an opinion on it. I don't think it's that Americans can't be educated or intelligent. I don't know the exact cause and it's possible it's a collective sentiment over time, but Americans now harbor an anti-intellectualism stance. It's not important to know concrete information that's factual. These individuals strongly believe life experience and experimentation are the keys to becoming smarter. Yes, there's some truth to that but you also need the requisite knowledge for specific subjects before you get into that experimentation. Let's focus on English. Many Americans don't care about those classes. They don't care about how they form sentences and how they sound. I think that's extremely strange since language is the main form of communication we have. You need to express your points accurately. Do you think that's accomplished when you phrase yourself in a crass manner that's offensive? Occasionally, perhaps. Generally, though, you will not convince intelligent people you know what you're talking about when you don't articulate properly. Despite what people may think on here, I'm actually much more informal/colloquial in person. I know how to use slang and just shoot the shit. That doesn't mean I'm going to dumb my thoughts down when I write just so I fit in with everyone else. That's stupid and I refuse to conform.
Anyway, this is a huge problem for Americans and America. Do we want to be the best country in the world and dictate terms? That's hard to do when we don't have enough qualified individuals for fields that require a certain level of education. That's why some companies are bringing foreigners here. There are other reasons but I've read enough articles that suggest there aren't enough Americans to fill the positions. Gee... I wonder why?

Trump touch down in her district at three times.
Before nov election and after to endorse Loeloff and Perdue. Dayton county is Trump country.
They believe the President.
She isn't going to be unelectable. This is like having impeachment without the trial removal from office without electoral process by a majority of the house. The republicans will use this tactic it becomes too efficient to silent the opposition party.

Guess what? Sick and DJ suggested stats regarding views on the election results which seem opposed but actually make them BOTH CORRECT. LOL See the latests poll results below.
Among all Americans roughly 1/3 believe the election was NOT legitimately won, but specifically the subset of Americans who identify as REPUBLICANS, about 3/4 of them think that BS. SO you are both right!
The Economist/YouGov Poll
January 31 - February 2; 1500 adults

Q2: Would you say that Joe Biden legitimately won the election, or not?
Aggregate totals from all respondents:
63% ... YES, Biden legitimately won!
37% ....No, Biden did not win legitimately
* but from REPUBLICANS only:
26% ... yes, Biden legitimately won
74% ....NO, Biden did not win legitimately!

Good thoughts on both posts. As to the first, I was talking about the general population. That 30% is an extraordinarily high number. But then think about how conspiracy theories were politicized. Take 911. For the longest time, there was a solid 20% of Dems who believed that the Government was complicit. Then Trump and others came along and suddenly, that is now 20% of Republicans. That is insanity. The facts don't change, just the message and the messenger.
As to your second post, that brings up a fantastic and frightening area. Some books on this specific subject are First they Killed My Father, Pol Pot: Anatomy of a Nightmare and The Lost Executioner. Of course, I am talking about the Khmer Rouge who espoused exactly the point about first, villainizing intellectualism, then creating an actual political agenda and finally, a regime to eliminate. Sound familiar? It had so much in common with the rise of Nazism except it was more dangerous in a certain way...the Nazi's relied upon the military. The Khmer Rouge? The common man...

Is not this the same as the Hillary supporters in the last election cycle. How.many of her supporters felt Trump was illegitimately elected.
Blamed the electoral college and the Russians...
This is the opposite polar sections that vote against every thing and nothing is ever good enough to each party both have this villainy class.
That makes voting for a certain candidate palatable. Pelosi has driven more successful campaigns for.elected republicans than democrats in house races she lost 16 seats ....

Precisely! And this is why it is no surprise that MTG (Marjorie Taylor Greene) can be elected to Congress in various select pockets of the country. Frankly, I am a little surprised there aren't more like her and/or other kooks elected by the right. There are loonies on the LEFT too, make no mistake, but empirically fewer, and even then to a lesser degree.
Much of the angst, not all, but much, IN MY OPINION, certainly comes from the perception and/or very real disintegration of "white priviledge" -- and this includes rising animosity because of it, in the form of open bigotry and racism. Trump and trumpism made it acceptable to come out of the closet and release one's "inner bigot" and/or "inner racist."
The very definition of "LIBERALS" includes not only openness and acceptance of other views, but also tolerance of diverse peoples (ethnic, age, gender, culture, race, religion, politics, etc.)
DEMOCRATS (the left) are overwhelmingly "liberals" (though not all)
REPUBLICANS otoh, are overwhelmingly "Conservative" - which is not specifically the polar opposite of "Liberal," as they do share some notable views - but when it comes to the ideology surrounding the welcoming of and openness to "other people with differing culture, race, religion, etc.," well -- those who tend NOT to be so tolerant or open migrate to the Republican party (the right) in large part JUST for that reason alone.

Hmmm, not sure I agree.... UNLIKE the recent election where 74% of republicans actually believe it was stolen from trump by ELECTION FRAUD, the 2016 loss didn't appear to be lamented as losing by actual FRAUD... My colleagues and I ALL AGREE that 2016 election tabulation was fair and honest -- no fraud -- but they/and I were bummed that the "October Surprises" (wikileaks, James Comey in particular but the Russians also) were sufficient enough to swing SOME VOTES against her in key states in the final weeks (remember she DID win the popular vote by 2.9 million - so there was NO FRAUD!)
Paraphrasing:
2020, the losers are bummed claiming (falsely) it was due to ELECTION FRAUD on election and shortly after...
2016, the losers are bummed because, while they LOST FAIRLY, it was arguably because of the "October Surprises" which happened *BEFORE* the election

Good points!
And you are correct, that the MTGs of the GOP are "pure gold" for the Dems!
That said though she and her ilk should not be REWARDED for their whacko beliefs by being allowed to sit on important Congressional committees! Correct me if I am wrong, anyone, but I don't believe the HOUSE can actually throw an elected official completely out of Congress (ie, actually overturn an election result) -- but rather the vote this afternoon is merely to remove her from Committee appointments, yes??

Nature,
Respect your opinion, but I do not think the situations are the same. After all, American intelligence agencies did conclude that Russia and others did develop and coordinate highly sophisticated disinformation campaigns to sway the election. The claims of Hilary supporters was not that American voters cheated their own voting systems and election. There also is not a single intelligence agency in America that supported Trumpers claims of widespread voter election fraud.

Russians? See I find this a euphemism for Republicans Roger stone admitted to down loading the email from wiki leaks. Wiki leaks was owned by assange hiding in embassy in london.
Dis information???? That can be defined as view points of the party propaganda hey hey called the proponents spin doctors in giving an alternative view of facts during debates.
This is a very slippery slope if it holds precedence in the house. For when the majority swings back democrats such as Cortez or.even Pelosi could be excluded from comittee discussions by the majority party....
Remove what doesn't agree enforce punishment for non compliance and circumvent the election process has serious ramifications for what a budget committee seat. News flash congress hasn't passed a budget in a decade
Not really that valued anymore.

Don't get me wrong Ms Greene is a total wack job but she represents her constituents in the state of Georgia. It is up to them to send to representation to Washington not up to Washington of who they wish include.

Disinformation is actually claims that are not true, misleading, or false. Not supported by facts.
Either events happened or did not happen, there are no "Alternative Facts". Alternative Facts means lies.
Widespread Election fraud claims that millions of people illegally voted allowing Biden to win is political disinformation, alternative fact (Lies).

Ok Trump won 2016 by a landslide victory.
Alternative fact he lost the popular vote.
He won the electoral college . Exceeding everyone's expectation.
Alternative the Russians helped him.
Between two story lines is different views of facts.
Hence alternative narratives.

Yes. ...but not sure WHY you are stating the obvious...
Washington (Congress) is NOT trying to remove MTG from Congress.....just a committee assignment.
Totally different, and YES, Congress has that right!
Slippery slope?? Yes and no. It's not like the GOP will be short ONE rep on those two committees they apponted the WHACKO to.....they'll just have to select someone else -- and the GOP WILL STILL BE REPRESENTED! They lose nothing!
Yes, in the future, the GOP could be vindictive and do the same on the Dems. Oh well.... so what? Dems will still be able to put someone on the committee anyhow! Nothing really changes except WHO the rep is. I support their position though because I am not going to allow a WHACKO conspiracy theorist who McConnell agrees is a "cancer" to sit on TWO (2) important committees TODAY just because **maybe** in the future I may have a special person in mind for a certain committee when the GOP is in the majority. We will deal with that *IF* it ever arises....But right now, this whacko is a cancer and must NOT be rewarded with any committee assignments.
Anyone see the video of her BULL@HIT rewrite of her comments today?? Where she is backpeddaling on virtually EVERYTHING now that she has been caught in backlash. Very insincere....

But u habe yet to see one russian natuonal who voted for Trump. How did they help him win the electoral collage.
These are view points possibly deceiving the reality Trump did win the 2016 election.
Now this election cycle.
Trump Georgia did not use the laws they have to regulate elections. Dominion voting machines mal functioned act act ect....
Biden won the state of Georgia.
It wasn't fair.
The government of Georgia certified the vote.
Ect ect
Ms greene won district seat in Georgia elections..
She is an idiot.
She was elected to represent Georgia in a free and.fair election.
Georgians are idiots for.sending.her.
So she a representative duly elected to represent morons... still makes her a congressmen err person. Duly elected in a free and fair election.
Caucusing with her parties leadership.
Given committee seats by her lesdership...
Obviously if you convicted of impeachment she could be removed from office and made never to hold a position of trust. But this measure breeches on unconstitutional and if it holds precedence republicans can make her speaker the next go around and exclude Pelosi and similar voices from comuttee selections.

On both sides, sure, to a degree, but I would say empiraclly this is more widespread observed on the "CURRENT VERSION" (trumpism) OF THE RIGHT, as I explained somewhat in the definitions of "liberal" and "conservative"

If the gop becomes majority no it's when...
When the top established a majority.
See the redistricting process.and gop governors and state legislatures an group a huge majority of democrats to a seat gerrymandering is very effective.
Seats then become Republican dominated and hence the house flips... republicans then Pelosi then John Banner and paul Ryan then back to Pelosi all in the last 20 years. History dictates that the house flips after the second year of the first term of presidency....
