Sort of.

Alternate narratives can arise from looking at completely different facts.

For example me talking FACTS about "sports" and another talking FACTS about "Forest management"

But alternate narratives about a FACT  2 + 2 = 4;  the earth is a sphere;  we landed on the moon?

....there is no real "Alternative facts" to those examples. 

A woman is either pregnant or she ISN'T -- there are no "alternative facts"

But we could say there are indeed **OTHER** FACTS, sure....but not "alternative" facts.

Because the alternative by definition relates to the  SAME event or issue -- not something else.

The fact Trump lost the 2016 popular vote is a a FACT, not an alternative fact. It actually happened. He also won the electoral college, another fact.

Slippery slope?? Yes and no.  It's not like the GOP will be short ONE rep on those two committees they apponted the WHACKO to.....they'll just have to select someone else -- and the GOP WILL STILL BE REPRESENTED!  They lose nothing!

Yes, in the future, the GOP could be vindictive and do the same on the Dems.  Oh well.... so what?  Dems will still be able to put someone on the committee anyhow!  Nothing really changes except WHO the rep is.   I support their position though because I am not going to allow a WHACKO conspiracy theorist who McConnell agrees is a "cancer" to sit on TWO (2) important committees TODAY  just because **maybe** in the future I may have a special person in mind for a certain committee when the GOP is in the majority.  We will deal with that *IF* it ever arises....But right now, this whacko is a cancer and must NOT be rewarded with any committee assignments.

Of course it's WHEN (not if) .....why point out the obvious.....

I never said "if the GOP becomes the majority" .......I said "if" in relation to the issue of FUTURE committee assignments where one party may AGAIN object to the other party's choice to sit on it.  That's the "if" ... referring to that specific situation.  And truth be told, for all we know, this situation might not ever occur again regardless which party is in the majority. ....... Or it might.   Who knows for sure?  

But right NOW,  it is important to send a message that a total WHACKO (which is demostrably and verifiably true with recorded FACTS)  must not e rewarded with committee assignments --- which, by rule, the majority party CAN override -- regardless what may or may not occur in the future, if ever.

She missed her period but hasn't taken a pregnancy test she is neither pregnant nor not pregnant.  Responsible she doesn't drink alcohol or rec substances until she knows.. she fell.down had a heavy flow of a period was this a miscarriage ? 

Where it is possible but not yet determined their can be competing alternative narratives to the facts.... 

Within this discussion she would be not pregnant after the period but now we looking behind us in the past she could of been. Hence why would she quit drinking if she wasn't pregnant??? 

So she might have been ....

That a reward.... their hasn't been a budget passed congress in 10 years raise the debt ceiling absolutely change the flow of money.

She have a better voice on foreign relations committee at least some contact yo policy makers in state department. 

On the other side she where that black heart as a badge of honor... and more fodder to the opposition come general elections in 20 months.

If a guy walks up to another man and bashes him in the face in full view of 30 witnesses (or none!)  there are no "alternative FACTS" as to what happened.  There may be "alternative STORIES" of course.....one telling the truth (fact) the other LYING.....sure.....but the FACTS don't change just because somebody wishes to claim otherwise.

Despiute what members of the "Flat Earth Society" might tell you as their version of FACT - despite being unprovable -  the TRUTH (real provable FACT) is the Earth is a sphere.

Committee assignments earn extra pay.

And to some degree, raises a person's stature, and "pads one's resume" possibly toward future political goals.

Going all the way back to 2010, the REPUBLICANS have basically been in charge of getting that passed......or not

Final vote was 230-199 to remove her bigoted/Q-Anon a$$  from committee  assignments.

Not unlike the GOP pushing through a judicial confirmation within weeks of a presidential election....

In this case Ms Greene used the Presidents advisors opinion to sway voters to elect her.

She is their representative.  And what ever the descending 199 minority position may be when they have the majority of the House of Representatives it will be them calling out Cortez or Pelosi as unfit to serve in comitttee assignments for remarks they once made. 

Pelosi can touch trump. Or any one in the Senate. 

So she takes her variances out on a stooge.

Same as when a Yemen prince coordinated the world trade center destruction finding him was too hard so we attacked Iraq for.it.

Pelosi voted against body armor.

If we are able to effectively silence dissection at what point do we draw a line .... 

Pelosi wounded ego shouldn't dictate American policy in the house of representatives winning power  isn't enough not blowing your chance to govern cause someone's right whiteys is in a bunch AGAIN. Is wasting an incredible opportunity.

In the here and now, for certain, there is a WHACKO/bigot/Sandy-Hook denier that would be serving on two House committees.

That's a bad thing. It is real.  Not "maybe" in the future.

If I have to face a decision of tradeoff, I am in FAVOR of removing a whacko now even if it **might** be reciprocated in the future.....MAYBE. But it might not happen in the future either!

And if it does happen to Dems in the future, guess what??? The Dems can hammer the GOP again after that!! Tit-for-tat.

You DO NOT back away from correcting a knowable WRONG now because *maybe* they will do the same in the future. NO!!!

You always correct a wrong right NOW then face any vindictive backlash later IF it ever comes.

Secondly, to allow a "WRONG" like MTG being allowed on important committees,  ALSO sets a precedent for future WACKNUTS elected by dumbasses in 90% republican "gerrymandered" districts.  Then when they elect a grand wizard of the KKK or another adolf hitler to Congress and then assign him to various committees, you would have that MTG precedent that says you must not remove THOSE TYPES either!  And the candidates will just get worse!!  Hell that's the story of how many adolf hitler types come to power --- nobody stops the insanity in the early stages before it can build momentum.....and then it's too late.

It is a do nothing Congress same leadership same results.

What ever committee debate work that might be done is going no where. News flash most of the work that escapes the committees are never brought to the floor for a vote.

Regardless of the majorities parties chair in the committee.

Of all legislation that made it through the committee process almost 90 percent die before being made law.

Same people control both parties... Same fund raisers same corporation Pac sponsors same results they are good with the 2010 budget so its bankrupting America. But no Republican or Democrat is going to change this .

Same money goes to same folks of which no one has any idea of how to pay for so they borrow more from the federal reserve.

Bigger news flash: it's mostly because of McConnell that it doesn't come to the floor.

And it's mostly becuse of THAT and SPLIT CHAMBERS that nothing gets done on Congress.

Split chambers will almost ALWAYS guarantee nothing to help the American people gets done.

AND, for the past 6 years at least while McConnell controlled the Senate, almost EVERYTHING

passed in the house by DEMS or even bi-partisan was shelved by Mitch.

THAT'S WHY!

Until ONE PARTY - either party - has BOTH CHAMBERS by a significant majority, then NOTHING GETS DONE.

It helps to have the WH too but not entirely necessary....

The fact the Dems DON'T have a significant majority in the Senate likely means only ONE significant legislation (via recon) will ever get passed each year.  And as a result, as I have stated here many times before, the PUBLIC will throw up their collective hands again and proclaim that Washington never gets anything done for Americans -- and that's true but not for the reasons they think -- it is MOSTLY because of split chambers, which, at the end of the day is who's fault.....

In short, American voters get pretty much what they deserve under the current system.....as long as they keep voting in SPLIT CHAMBERS we will have perrenial GRIDLOCK in Congress....

Meanwhile the EU and China will take advantage....

This is what happens democrats if left alone long enough will find ways yo snatch defeat from the jaws of victory I been dealing with that mess since Gore ran for president. One thing about Republicans they are good soldiers they do as they are told to the best of their ability and stay unified... Your caucus is notorious for imploding. 

And I believe as they have done become the minority and blame Republicans for not getting their act together... It is what they do to shirk responsibility and be the slackers they born to be.

If she is the new face of the GOP, they are dead. She represents a North Georgia Redneck-Hillbilly district that is 84.5% white and heavily redneck-hillbilly. The 14th Congressional District in Georgia has no similarities whatsoever to the balance of Georgia, much less the United States. To stand staunchly behind MJ-T is to separate oneself from political reality. Best for the GOP to keep her quiet and replace her in the primaries two years from now.

Who decides that she is a wacko with completely outlandish views? Not her peers unless they are voting in her district. 

The committees are no different. As a member of Congress, she is allowed to serve in committees. Has she committed a crime? Has she been charged? The answer is no. So what is the basis for her removal? 

If she was actually pregnant . but she didn't know how would this be proven.... If she wasn't pregnant and has her period it was at best late... Just because her husband had a vasectomy and it could of been the gardners child is conjecture unprovable hearsy...
