About half the people on here probably didn't know the game was in ATL. Most people here hate the All Star Game anyway, most people don't even bother to bet it or even watch it. And its not like the all star game is going away, they are just moving it. You forget, MLB can do whatever the hell it wants with its games.
The new GA law is a disgrace, and this isn't even a black/white issue. The law takes the power away from local/county election boards and gives it to the legislature. So if you live in a county, and the legislature doesn't like the results, they can dismiss and throw away your vote if you live in that county. It effectively removes any type of independent oversight to the election since there are two election boards in each county in GA, a registrar board and the election board, which are independently selected. As crazy as it sounds, the law could permit the GA legislature to decide every race in the state if it wanted to. So this law would be ok if the GA legislature was primarily Democrat and not Republican? You would be ok with it...I'm sure you wouldn't. This law has nothing to do with absentee ballots, nothing to do with stolen votes, its just a power grab.

The other issue with this anti-American law is that it is purely a centralist/communist idea.
Communism thrives on a large/heavy centralist government which makes the decisions for everyone, and takes power away from local governments. Take what China is trying to do to Hong Kong, they want to eliminate the local government. This is exactly what the new law in GA does, it takes the power away from local and county boards in which local people have made the decision about who should represent them, and gives the power to the large big bad state government. So if you live in Savannah, GA, and you help to select your election and registrar board representatives, they can be thrown out and replaced without you having any say about it by a legislature that was elected from everywhere else in the state, like Atlanta, Albany, Valdosta, Macon, Augusta, etc. This is no different from the people of Hong Kong electing their representatives and having the Chinese communist party come in and replace them.
How American is that? These morons on here don't even understand the basic nature of government.

You mad because Atlanta wants to see an ID to vote? Do you need an ID to get a beer at a game? You mad about that too, or do you just show your ID? Not very hard. When you turn 16 you get an ID, it's actually very simple to do, assuming you're a legal resident and can only get 1 ID with one name. Someone could supposedly make a fake one to try to get the beer. Maybe that's the same thing with voting. Sounds like you want to support fraud. Maybe it's been proven that people have lied about their address in order to cast a vote. But your CNN won't ever tell you that. Maybe that's why Atlanta wants to show ID to vote, to keep the fraud away. But keep supporting the fraud, fraud.

All of you both sides are falling for the big swindle. You will continue arguing woke culture and everything else both sides of the media have you wrapped in. But when the smoke settles and the dust clears the really big issue is that all of your first world decent paying jobs are all going overseas, corporations are making a killing for themselves and their shareholders due to cheap labor going to Asia. The past two administrations are trying to get manufacturing jobs back in the US. I hope you and your kids are ready to assemble iPhones for minimum wage or work in a coal mine.
The corporate magicians are wiggling their hands with a shiny object you're following that hand like a hungry dog. Meanwhile the magician has his hand in your pocket and you have no clue but to argue whatever the media has got you all riled up about this month. Look at your pay check, look at your career, look at the buying power of what's left over in your paycheck after you pay taxes, look at your joke of a retirement.
Now ask yourself if the "fight of the month" presented to you by CNN and FOX is worthy of your efforts.
I'm semi retired GenX 53 years old and I see you millennials and gen Zers taking it right up the pooper - just as planned, you sorry bastards.
When everyone in the US is working unskilled low paying jobs this will in effect kill the US customer base with all the buying power we used to have. We are the best customers and consumers. For now. But in about 5-10 years the corporations and politicians will do something because the US will finally be at point where the people won't be able to afford all that much and corporate profits will start to take a hit. RIght now they are flourishing because they are not paying you, they're not hiring you, all the good paying STEM jobs are going overseas and now those STEM folks are competing in your field for one of your jobs, even if it's not all that technical.
Right now and for the past 20 years we are in a computer technology boom for many reason, yet US worker in this field are unemployed because all of these jobs are being outsourced.
Right now the US worker is making less and less and leveraging, staying still good consumers and customers. But when that starts to reverse and you all tighten up the belt and spend less is when the large corporations will swing it back somehow. But you will have already been screwed.
