Elliott Broidy, a former top political fundraiser for President Donald Trump and the Republican Party, plans to plead guilty to participating in an illegal foreign lobbying scheme and cooperate with investigators in the matter, according to a person familiar with the situation. 

Broidy was charged on Oct. 8 with illegally lobbying the Trump administration to stop investigating the embezzlement scandal at the  1MDB Malaysian state investment fund. Jho Low, a Malaysian fugitive who was charged as the mastermind of the 1MDB fraud, initially paid Broidy $6 million to lobby the U.S. Justice Department to stop its investigation and promised an additional $75 million if the lobbying succeeded, prosecutors said.

Thousands of small businesses have closed, many permanently. Not because there had been anything fundamentally broken with their business models but  because the government has so badly screwed up the covid response that it remains broadly unsafe to operate. Driving through our neighborhood some restaurants are still open for just take out & without the tourists, our community will not be able to help sustain their businesses.

On the beach, privately owned hotels & small motels are boarded up with no maintenance taking place on the properties. The trickle down impacts lawn & pool companies and of course the employees of these small businesses.

I am so fed up with the continued lies from this administration & am doing everything I can personally do get rid of these scumbags. I still have 34 of those McDonald gift cards & will give them away to early voters next Monday. I'll be volunteering 3 days a week for 4 hours to help at our early voting locations.

You can't sit on your ass & expect things to change. You have to make change happen!
