The US is planning to impose sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin as soon as Friday, according to two people familiar with the decision.

The Russian leader will become the highest-profile target in the effort to impose costs on the Russian economy and Putin's inner circle in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Additional Russian officials are likely to be included, one of the people said.

I feel bad for her... she will be forever linked to gender politics... ahe will viewed for being elected only because she is a black female.   Joe labeled and stigmatized her,... he could done this without stating it's going to be....  its a shame and embarrassment... he accolades ,successes will be overlooked cause identity joe said so...

Not even close.... biden could have announced his selection without announcing its going to be a black female... you people need to get out of bubble wrap... you suffocating in there...

Like affirmative action in the 70's.. many got jobs that were not qualified but some did and were... the ones who were qualified were still labeled associated with unqualified... similar to nepotism... yes trump kids..same thing...

I agree.  Exactly the same thing.

With the exception being that this nominee is black.

Nothing to do with race... if so ,then blame is on biden cause he said it.  By simply stating its going to be this and nothing else, he put the label on her.  People have gotten jobs simply due to who they know and now what box to check.  As we know more about her, hopefully we learn she is qualified and not a polical activist wearing a robe.
