In an earlier thread, I had commented about the tremendous job our Coast Guard does protecting our borders in South Florida. I saw this report in the paper from the US Customs & Border Protection data..

Cubans were stopped 221,000 times this fiscal year which h is a 471% increase over last year.

Those numbers blow me away.

Seems our border agents are doing a good job at stopping the deluge  but there seems to be a lot of  desperation out there that is driving this

accelerated in recent weeks! The national average for regular gas
has tumbled 54 cents in the past month alone, according to AAA.
It is now 17 cents cheaper, on average, to buy gas
than the same pre-Christmas date last year!
