@Zeus4par
Of course not. It's for the good of ALL of America, and a win for Democrats because they deserve it, and therefore to be completely ignored by the pro-fascist MAGAs particularly in Congress.

The European Union said Friday it is planning to open an emergency maritime aid corridor from Cyprus to Gaza this weekend in a joint effort with allies, including the US.
It comes after US President Joe Biden announced plans to establish a temporary port to bring desperately needed additional humanitarian aid into the war-torn enclave.

Trending positive news for Americans More employers now say they’re willing to hire workers [who are like the vast majority of trump's voter base] who don't have a college degree. New York, CNN — For decades, not having a college degree has often been a barrier for workers seeking a higher-level, better-paying job. But more employers are now saying they’re open to hire some.
College degrees were used by companies as a proxy for skills and competence when evaluating potential hires — making it very difficult for lower-wage, non-degreed workers [who are like the vast majority of trump's voter base] even to be considered.

Depends who you are trying to get a job with, but coming from someone that has worked with thousands of businesses over the years this is not an accurate statement from companies I have worked with...high end companies, maybe, but most businesses don't care about college education and that has been for about the last 10-15 years or so...they do care about experience and they do care about education when it comes to financial positions but even management positions, in my experience, do not require college education really...
I recall we had a gal working for us that went to Illinois and she had a run of the mill bachelors degree from Illinois....think it was communications or something like that...we hired her to handle our benefits...not that she was qualified to do so but she was fresh out of college, and the position didn't require a college education, and she came in and started working with us and was not doing all that well...had a lot of mistakes, started a fight with one of our Recruiters during a xmas party and was having performance issues overall...so her 90 day review is up and she of course rates herself high in all categories not really thinking about the issues or concerns that had been created by her during her time with us and so the review was over and as we typically do, we provide rate increases at the 90 day mark just to bring employees up to a better wage...I think she received a $1.50 rate increase or so and she looks at the number and proceeds to tell us that the number was not good enough and then goes on and on with this spiel about how she graduated from a Big 10 school and that it was a top school in the country and that if she didn't get a 15k increase in pay she was going to leave because she had student loans to pay...that's equivalent to about $7 more per hour or about $5.50 more per hour than what was proposed.....she didn't even care that she had performance related issues all over the place and that even so she was still receiving a rate increase....this girl felt so entitled because of her degree that she felt she deserved more in a field that she had zero schooling for and was not performing at a top level but because she had so much student debt she needed to be making X amount of money to pay back her loans, but took the job knowing it didn't pay that much...chick was crazy....
entitlement is what education gives some and it is way too expensive...and she had all that debt with a communications degree, which you cannot do much with in a business sense...I mean had she had a degree in business or Human Resources or something related to business maybe, but a communications degree to handle benefits....c'mon....she left shortly after because we didn't pay what she demanded.....we never hired another person after that who had a degree from any major school...fugetaboutit...

That's interesting, but doesn't surprise me one bit. What a selfish, entitled POS. With an attitude like hers , I'm sure she'll get far.

Yea, we've been in business since 1985 and she is the only one that ever did something like that....that was about 15-20 years ago but never again....we've seen much harder and dedicated workers with far less qualifications do more than those that are qualified...
I mean, I don't blame anyone for requesting more money but there is a time and place for it and you should never use the excuse that you graduated from a top school in the country to get your desired result...anyone going to school knows the debt on the back end before they ever finish getting their degree so it is no surprise how much debt you will leave college with after you are finished...is it too much money, of course it is, but that is debt you are knowingly assuming...just like charging on your credit card...finances are up front for the most part with college, meaning you know what you will need to pay back and it's not your employers afterwards that are responsible for helping you pay back that debt...
I had a buddy that went to USC, an hispanic fella, so he got a little aid here and there but he went there for Accounting...the alumni promised him that he would be put in front of all these big businesses that would be looking to employ him as part of the booster program...he finished and got his degree and no one helped him...not one alumni, not one booster...he ended up selling health insurance for Health Net to make ends meat and then on the side helped skeechers with their advertising commercials...this guy was a go getter....years went by and still no help from the alumni or boosters as promised and he kept plugging along and about 5-6 years after he got his degree he got hired on with Walt Disney handling their interactions with some of their sister companies and reporting data/numbers to NASDAQ or something like that...dude was proud as hell that he got that gig on his own...I'm sure having the degree helped but it was rough for him for many years...Disney ended up folded that sister company and he lost his gig after several years but he was able to pick up whatever work he wanted after that because he had Disney on his resume...that experience from there got him going not the alumni or boosters and we have lived just outside of Hollywood our whole lives and those bastards didn't do shit for him...luckily he had some schooling paid for under the hispanic grants he received or he would have been screwed...
college is a mask in my opinion...bust your ass and learn and that should get you ahead without the debt
