at stemming inflation-driven housing costs.
Under the new measure, which would require congressional approval, corporate landlords would lose the ability to write off depreciation values from their units if they increase tenants' rent more than 5%.

That last stat is an achievement to be applauded. It's not perfection, but it is positive!
Biden is withdrawing from the presidential race!
In a letter released on Sunday, the #14 ranked US president said
"While it has been my intention to seek reelection,

Good news can be better late than never.
Those who, like me, oppose turmp-style-FASCISM, have 3.5 months to retool the campaign against evil.
But I have strong reservations -- due to the inherent nature of many who hold prejudices (bigots!) against Democrats and/or black and/or asian and/or women as president.
Even the half-respectable "never trump" republicans simply will not vote for having a woman as president due to their prejudices.

The US economy just got its latest health check, and it looks promising!
Gross domestic product (GDP) registered at a robust 2.8% annualized rate in the second quarter, after adjusting for inflation and seasonality, the Commerce Department said Thursday!
That’s **DOUBLE** the 1.4% rate seen earlier this year, and
well above the 1.9% rate economists projected in a FactSet poll! 
**No, it does not suggest a perfect economy...but this is nevertheless a very positive and hopeful picture as our economy under the Biden/Harris Democratic admin continues to move forward from the devastation left behind by the prior admin.
