Senate passes $95 billion package sending aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan in spite of MAGAs!

Washington CNN —

The Senate on Tuesday passed a long-delayed $95 billion package with wide bipartisan support after both sides of Capitol Hill have struggled for months to send aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.

The final vote was 79-18.
Forty-eight Democrats and 31 Republicans voted for the bill.
15 MAGA Republicans voted against the bill.

 Most the aid to Ukraine actually goes to American businesses supplying arms & munitions!

US announces $6 billion long-term military aid package for Ukraine

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced on Friday a $6 billion long-term military aid package for Ukraine — the largest to date — which will allow the US to purchase new equipment produced by the American defense industry for the Ukrainian military.

 So corporate handouts to defense contractors is something to cheer about? I dont think so.

But in so much as it is NOT cash being handed over freely to a foreign country, that is a positive message, given that so many on the right wrongly believe it does leave the country and disappears into Ukraine, which is of course false.

We supply the weapons and munitions so the money actually cycles back here.  It's NOT great but far better than just giving handouts.

Well we also give/gave billions to them and a ton of it was unaccounted for and that is a fact. It is sickening that DEMS support the war machine just because Israeli power and money own them. If we are giving via debt to other countries when it could be better used at home OR not created via debt in the first place, we need to completely control the narrative and we do not. Israel take our money and so does Ukraine and they do as they wish without consideration for what we feel is important and having boundaries about actions/decisions they make.

President Joe Biden in a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday reiterated his “clear position” on a potential Israeli invasion of Rafah and discussed the need for humanitarian aid in Gaza, according to the White House.

“The President and the Prime Minister also discussed increases in the delivery of humanitarian assistance into Gaza including through preparations to open new northern crossings starting this week,” according to a White House readout.

The White House added, “The President stressed the need for this progress to be sustained and enhanced in full coordination with humanitarian organizations. The leaders discussed Rafah and the President reiterated his clear position.”

The Biden administration has made clear to its Israeli counterparts that they want to see a clear and actionable plan on how they would protect civilians in Rafah.

We agree on something! Fix our Nation and border first. This lead from behind administration put us in the current horror show we have. Wars, inflation, division, weakness and no respect from any one ANYWHERE! Maybe Biden can pick a side. Iran or Israel. Look at Columbia college. SAY SOMETHING JOE!

What else is "sickening" is the fact they borrow money to fund these wars. The NATIONAL DEBT is 35 TRILLON and we are funding for others to have borders as we have no border. 

How about Joe paying the tuition for all those protestors at the colleges chanting death to Israel and death to America. Seems the same as sending money to Iran, China and Russia as we fund the other sides to fight the wars.

Debt doesn't mean much....hasn't everyone figured that out by now....since we were all kids the debt gets talked about and talked about but what's being done about it....nothing....you know what happens when a friend owes you money and they never pay it back??? Nada, nothing....you may not be friends with them anymore but it has zero relevance...yes, you are out that money and down one friend but that's it

When I was in my late 30's I saw debt as a mirage too. Then we were  so underwater with interest payments. Solution? Made a good judgement move years earlier buying the home and property that appreciated . A second mortgage saved our bacon but still was a drain.

The National debt will reflect in the value of the dollar. They are trying to run inflation up to pay down old debt. More dollars that are worth less, paying off old debt. This principal never ends well for any Nation.

Maybe invest in defense stocks with all the MASSIVE funds given to the defense contractors. Sickening I tell you, just SICKENING.

 Positive step.  However, Israel needs to accept and comply.

These interest rates with 35 trillion debt, will soon choke the Nation. Not sure even Trump will be able to pull us out of the horrible position we are in.

According to US treasury, Trump increased national debt by 33.1% compared to Biden 8.8%.
