At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Vladimir Putin acknowledged that “patriotically minded” Russian hackers may have been responsible for the breach of the network of the Democratic National Committee and the e-mail accounts of members of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, as well as other attempts to interfere in the US presidential elections of 2016 to aid the campaign of Donald Trump.

Putin also suggested that a false trail could have been manufactured to make it look like the Russian government was involved.

US intelligence community (Seventeen separate organizations ) and other Western nations have attributed numerous attacks against political targets, including the attempted interference in the recent French election, to groups tied to Russian intelligence—specifically the GRU, Russia's largest intelligence organization.

Putin cannot be trusted according to Forbes, Heritage, Christianpost and others.  According to Foreign policy research institute, common practice is for Kremlin to outsource hacking work to Russian citizens.  Security community, both private and public, almost unanimously agree Kremlin-backed hackers stole emails and released them through wikileaks.  Evidences point to similar tactics against France and Germany.

Trump administration has every right to drop sanctions. They probably did it because Obama was being a hypocrite for putting sanctions on them in first place.Obama used tax payer money to influence Other elections around the world, including Russian elections.Trump may have been naive in giving up intel in the Whitehouse but you can&#x27;t expect perfection when Obama made many mistakes and was half as corrupt as Hillary.You are afraid to admit that your guy messed up at all, let alone that he constantly lied to us.

I don&#x27;t know of anyone that switched their vote from Hillary to Trump at all---let alone because of anything that the Russians supposedly did. I have not even heard of anyone saying this in the news. I also have not heard anyone even use this as a reason to skip voting altogether. i have also not heard of any usual bystanders that all of a sudden decided to vote --- and vote for Trump --- because of any of the supposed shenanigans. Certain nobody wants foreigners --- or even domestic --- interference in our elections.  But who was the supposedly leaked going to influence?  Hillary already had so many allegations and had turned off so many. Trump had already rallied up enough of the disenchanted with the usual politicians anyway. It just looks so much like a desperate and vindictive action by democrats. They should spend more effort getting young candidates out and a better message. That is what works.
