    According to Vanity fair, republican DeSantis rejects vice president offer and says Trump has accomplished nothing of importance as president.  He has failed on many campaign promises.  Furthermore, DeSantis criticizes right wing media for refusing to honestly cover Trump.  He could shoot someone and media wouldn't even report it.

    On USA today, Romney explains why he would absolutely not vote for Trump over Biden because of character faults.  Also he disagrees with Trump's foreign policies because of departure from US foreign policy strategy for the last century.

     And…?  Does anyone really care what he thinks?  He just comes off as an elitist establishment guy that is jealous and upset that he ran a very poor campaign and lost.

     1000% agree with Romney.  There is still a sizable portion of the republican party who, like him, are old school, and believe in traditional conservative platforms including less government, fiscal responsibility, integrity, anti-fascism, upholding the Constituition, the rule of law applying to everyone, and more

    No sir.  It is simply a play on the phrase, because after all who really cares what he thinks.  He is not a strategist or anything like that.  Simply saying maybe it is better to take the advice of someone that actually did win an election.
    I was not a Trump guy and don’t ‘worship’ anyone.  But at least Trump did win and Romney never did because he had a bad strategy.

    So, calm down.  It was just a joke because his opinion is less valuable than many better pundits or even other Senators.

    Agree with you and Thirdperson.

    Lots of republican and Independents respect Mitt Romney, myself included. His voice carries weight among the more intelligent non-cult sector of republicans.

    @Raiders22

     First off,don't be telling me to calm down,I'm as calm as can be.

    "No sir",you didn't vote for Romney?

    He has won an election,as a matter of fact I bet he's won more elections then trump ever has.And what was Romney's bad strategy,not lying to people and telling them that Mexico would pay for a wall?

    And why would his opinion be less valuable then many other Senators,cause it doesn't line up with trump and your way of thinking.What is it,anybody says something bad about your guys messiah,and now they are worthless POS to you and the republican party?Ya,but you are not a trump guy.

    @MrWhatsItToYa

     I am not saying it like you are upset.  I just mean I wasn’t being very serious about it.
    I was simply saying it was just a joke using his words of ‘not liking losers’ is all.

    I just think Romney is trying to stay relevant or think too many folks care about his opinion.
    But in his defense, folks tend to ask his opinion for some reason.

    For example, what Republicans would he really influence to NOT vote for Trump OR to vote FOR Biden.
    Conversely, if he came out in support of Trump —  what Republicans would that influence that were ‘on the fence’ to vote for Trump.

    AND all of those on the Left that supposedly ‘respect’ Romney — would that MAKE them likely to vote FOR Trump?

    Of course NONE of that is true — so WHY does he KEEP saying anything at all?

    THAT is why I say he seems petty and jealous of Trump.
    The LEFT just eats it up, as if Romney is some moral authority or something.

    Another point is if it comes down to Biden and Trump — AND Romney does not vote for the Republican AND votes FOR Biden — that only reinforces most people’s opinion of how flip-floppy he still is, or RINO of sorts.

    So, again it was a light-heated joke at the supposed Romney lovers that did not vote FOR him WHEN they had a chance to vote FOR him.

     "Why does he keep saying anything at all?"He shouldn't be allowed to say what's on his mind,only you should be allowed to voice your opinion on things?I bet you more people care about his opinion then they do yours.If he was just answering a question,what should he have done just kissed trumps ass like the rest of the cowardly republicans?Or should he have just done a Mitch McConnell and just stared into space without answering the question?Or he could just do what he did and tell the truth about what he thought,and now according to the republican party he's a loser who should just shut his fuckin mouth.

    I don't think "the left just eats it up,as if Romney is some moral authority or something".It's just when you guys are always crying about it being people on the left who can't stand trump.It's just nice to shut that argument up by bringing up the fact that a large part of his own party know that he's a POS,and have the balls to voice that opinion.

    Did you vote for Romney?

    Romney is just as irrelevant as McConnell,  and the latter is stepping down as Majority Leader. an_light

    Both are RINOs and out of touch w reality.   Both back protecting borders thousands of miles away, instead of our own.  House Republicans had a pretty scathing response to McConnell stepping down, and rightfully so.  His recent positions on issues were indistinguishable from Democrats.

    Forget for a moment whether these guys like/dislike Trump ( I know,  a difficult concept for you lefties ).  And just analyze whether their policies seem to act in the best interests of this country.   The answer is NO !!!

    @MrWhatsItToYa

     You are misunderstanding what I am saying is all.
    Certainly he has the right to his opinion and to voice it.
    Just weird that he keeps doing it so often and the Leftist media keeps it going because they like it.
    There are plenty of other Republicans that are not pro-Trump to go ask their opinion.
    So, that is why I say it seems like he makes sure to keep repeating it.
    Everyone knows by now where he stands on Trump.  So why does he insist on being heard more than the others.
    At least most of the others seem to eventually at least move on.

    I am not so sure you are correct that a lot of people care about his opinion.  Like who?  The Leftist media?  Gleeful Liberals.  Few Republicans care.
    It would be different if he was in a situation like Gingrich or Huckabee, etc.

    But maybe he anticipates a gig like that or is aiming for one.
    Who knows?  Just odd to me.

    @Raiders22

     I don't know how I'm always "misunderstanding what I am saying is all",when I'm just directly quoting things you've said.How else would someone interpret the statement "so WHY does he KEEP saying anything at all",except to think the person making the statement thinks this person should just shut the fuck up and not say anything at all.Is there another way to interpret that statement,that I'm somehow "misunderstanding"?You say "certainly he has the right to his opinion and to voice it",right after you said "why does he keep saying anything at all".Those 2 statements almost sound like they are directly contradicting each other,all in just 2 posts.Talk about somebody being flip-floppy,maybe you are a "RINO of sorts" also.

    Then you question why the leftist media doesn't ask "other republicans that are not pro-trump" about their opinions.Let me try and answer that one for you,it's because those cowardly republicans will do either 1 of 2 things when they reply.They will either,1 just kiss trumps ass and say nothing bad about him,so he doesn't throw a tantrum.Or 2 just kiss trumps ass and say nothing bad about him so he doesn't throw a tantrum.That's gonna be my guess why the leftist media probably doesn't ask those other "not pro-trump" republicans their opinions,kinda makes sense right?

    No,he keeps repeating it,because he keeps getting asked the question.Don't you keep repeating your stance on something,if you keep getting asked the same question about your stance on that something?Everybody knows by now where you stand on trump (ya I know,you are not a trumper,you are just always backing him and defending him if someone says something bad about him.And will always vote for him,but according to you,you are not a trumper),how come you can keep giving your stance on it,but Romney shouldn't?

    I never said "that a lot of people care about his opinion",what I did say was that "I bet more people care about his opinion,then they do yours".

    Then you say "it was a light heated (I'm guessing you meant light hearted) joke at the supposed Romney lovers that did not vote for him when they had a chance to vote for him".But Romney only got about 2 million less votes in 2012 then trump did in 2016,that's a pretty close count compared to each other.

    Ok,this is gonna be the 3rd time I have asked you this question,I'm not sure if you have answered it or not.And if you haven't and don't want to,just ignore it again.Did you vote for "the loser" Romney?
