Then you question why the leftist media doesn't ask "other republicans that are not pro-trump" about their opinions.Let me try and answer that one for you,it's because those cowardly republicans will do either 1 of 2 things when they reply. They will either,1 just kiss trumps ass and say nothing bad about him,so he doesn't throw a tantrum.Or 2 just kiss trumps ass and say nothing bad about him so he doesn't throw a tantrum. That's gonna be my guess why the leftist media probably doesn't ask those other "not pro-trump" republicans their opinions, kinda makes sense right?
Like who? The ones that do not like him don’t do that. Who are you talking about? So, no — it does not make sense at all.

Then you say "it was a light heated (I'm guessing you meant light hearted) joke at the supposed Romney lovers that did not vote for him when they had a chance to vote for him".But Romney only got about 2 million less votes in 2012 then trump did in 2016,that's a pretty close count compared to each other.
No. Not at the ones that did not vote for him. But at the Liberals that are so gleeful about what he has to say about Trump.

I don't know how I'm always "misunderstanding what I am saying is all",when I'm just directly quoting things you've said. How else would someone interpret the statement "so WHY does he KEEP saying anything at all",except to think the person making the statement thinks this person should just shut the fuck up and not say anything at all.Is there another way to interpret that statement, that I'm somehow "misunderstanding"?You say "certainly he has the right to his opinion and to voice it",right after you said "why does he keep saying anything at all".Those 2 statements almost sound like they are directly contradicting each other, all in just 2 posts.Talk about somebody being flip-floppy,maybe you are a "RINO of sorts" also.
I am simply saying he should just say he has addressed it before and not be petty about it. At least act classier now that everyone knows he does not like Trump. It is just a bad look is all I am saying — it looks like jealousy the more he does it as opposed to just an opinion. But the media loves to hear him say it — and apparently he loves to say it. So, oh well.

For example this is the sort of thing that irritates some on the Right with Romney and an example of why he lost so many supporters. Considering one of many potential VP candidates:
The same people who love Trump already love Ric, so it’s not clear he would bring in any additional new voters. And there is the gay thing. Who would’ve thought one of the most popular figures in the Republican Party would be an out gay man who’s also an evangelical Christian? Probably not a lot ten or so years ago, when the loathsome Mitt Romney cravenly stabbed his friend in the back and made him resign from his campaign team because some people complained that he had a gay guy on his staff. Today, we have a Republican Party that mostly doesn’t care. Right now, most of us would eagerly vote for a differently-abled plus-sized lesbian Hindu of color who’s also a furry if she – or they or xe – voted like Ted Cruz. But there will be some people who do care. Will that be a net loss or a net gain? The fact is, Republicans have learned that choosing candidates by their identities does not translate for Republicans. We don’t get black voters because we pick a black candidate, and we don’t get women voters because we pick a woman-identifying one. It’s doubtful we would get gay voters just because Ric Grenell is gay. But we might get them because Ric Grenell is awesome – I have several books that mention a hypothetical Vice-President Grenell in some context or other, so you know where I stand.
THAT is the sort of guy that Romney seems to be to a lot of people. It was a bad look for him then and it still looks bad to a lot of folks. So, now when he takes every chance to get a dig in at Trump — it looks like he is being petty and jealous. Easy to understand—because all of those guys have huge egos.
Again, it just seems a bad look to me.

First off I'd be willing to bet NOBODY actually likes him,a lot of people just have to put up with him cause unfortunately he's the leader on their side.Umm there's 2 (McConnell and McCarthy) right off the top of my head who have said shit about trump, and then walked it back like the cowards they are when they figured out republican voters don't actually care about him trying to overturn our election results. And now they just sit there quietly (or just resign or retire) and don't say anything bad about him. That shows a lot of backbone by them, right? They really stick to their moral compass don't they?Lil Miss Lindsey hated him and talked shit about him until trump won the nomination, then he started coddling trumps nut sack as much as he possibly could as he's hanging out at MAL stuffing shrimp down his pie hole.

Is that the way you would reply on here to someone asking you a question,if you have answered it before.Or would you be "petty" and just answer it again. It's funny stinky can say and do anything, call people anything and any name he wants, and you don't say shit.Romney voices his opinion about trump, and now he's a loser and being petty by saying it.Ya,you are concerned that Romney should be the one acting "classier",cause it's a bad look.Like I said earlier, someone says something bad about trump and your all over them about it,they are losers and petty by saying it.But trump says and calls people whatever he wants, and not a fuckin peep out of you.But ya,you are not a trumper.

Yes. The Liberals that got mad about the phrase “I like mine not to be losers”, etc. They are the only ones that quote Trump on that AND they for sure did NOT vote for Romney when they had a chance. BUT now they quote Romney. That was the joke part.

No sir. He is a politician and a businessman and savvy. He could be a lot more tactful about it now that his feelings are known. Most others are now — look at the examples you listed above. You can call it other names if you like. But the point is it serves no purpose now. You can even bring Jeb into as another example. You know he cannot stand Trump — but look at how he has toned it down and look at what he just said last week. So, there is a time and place for the harshness and bluntness. But after awhile there has to be some maturing. Otherwise, it comes off sounding like a standard Pelosi-like response.

No. Not at the ones that did not vote for him. But at the Liberals that are so gleeful about what he has to say about Trump.I can't really even follow you on this one.You specifically say in the one post that "it was a joke at the supposed Romney lovers THAT DID NOT VOTE FOR HIM when they had a chance to vote for him".Then in one of your next posts you say "No.Not at the ones that did not vote for him".Is it any wonder you say I misunderstand what you are saying sometimes. Yes. The Liberals that got mad about the phrase “I like mine not to be losers”, etc. They are the only ones that quote Trump on that AND they for sure did NOT vote for Romney when they had a chance. BUT now they quote Romney. That was the joke part.
Ya I'm googling the phrase you mentioned "I like mine not to be losers" and I can't figure out WTF you are talking about. Are you talking about what trump said to McCain?

At what point are you going to hold trump up to your "But after awhile there has to be some maturing" standard?Oh that's right, you don't criticize trump at all,you only criticize the people who say bad things about trump.Romney says something about trump and you are quick to jump all over him calling him petty and an loser, and that he should "mature".But trump says anything he wants to anybody in the world, and you don't say a fuckin word about it,what a hypocrite you are.

@MrWhatsItToYa that you think he should of backed up? A new pet peeve of sorts I have lately because I see it so much now on here that I do not think it is an accident or mouse slip or auto correct.
Again, this and the "no" response of yours in post #286.What are you talking about, how bout a pet peeve of yours being about having to explain what you are trying to say.I mean I'm used to go around in circles with you,but now half your posts in here, need another post trying to explain WTF you are talking about.

BUT we are discussing Romney’s insistent talking about Trump.
But ask most on the Right and they will tell you that they wish Trump would have stayed off of Twitter and would tone it down also and just concentrate on his policies.
Or course, BOTH things can be true at the same time. The difference is Trump has been president and is the presumed candidate for the Right again.
So, maybe someone of Romney’s stature should get in Trump’s ear and tell him he should tone it down. BUT it cannot be Romney because he is doing the same thing.
HOWEVER, Romney at least should be more supportive of Trump over Biden because he is more Right-leaning — and no serious person from the Right would support Biden by default. That is all I am saying.

Absolutely the same sentiment applies to Trump.

The ‘no’ was in response to your question on why some on the Right do not like Romney. It does not have anything to do with his lack of support for Trump — a lot of them did not like him way before that.
Read the example I gave you on how he did one of his own staff, for an example.

You can't mention Trump and anything else because everyone just checks out after that and then blames you for being a MAGA lover...it's just the defense mechanism that is employed in this here forum....in having said that, I don't think that anyone who doesn't like Trump can look at his policies and see any value because the hate for him runs too deep and then you are called names....
Truth is, both Biden and Trump both have good policies...which is why you cannot just be so die hard left or right....we are people first and opinions have more value than one particular party line....it's like religion, no one is a die hard faithful to just one religion and a little of each faith can be taken and you shouldn't be shamed for doing so or admitting so...
Separate the party lines and a little of both can be used, but the hate runs rampant.....
More name calling will ensue because that is how points are dished here....

No,in your case the "same sentiment" never applies to trump, only people who say bad things about trump. Please point out in any of your previous posts where you say trump is a loser because he's said something bad about someone else.Or that he sounds petty and jealous when he criticizes others. It's not Romney's insistence on talking about trump,he was asked a question. You act like he's just constantly running around screaming about it.Or constantly calling someone a birdbrain,or liar,or crooked,or any other of the childish trump nicknames he constantly calls people. And not a word about it from you.
Ya,BUT we are discussing Romney,BUT if you read the title of the thread it's about trump. So we can discuss him also.Don't try and change things when someone brings up trump, just cause you have a problem trying to defend him for his actions in certain instances. And all of us already know, you are not an actual trumper, you just happen to play one here on Covers. So you can save that explanation for another post.

Oh,that's where we are getting confused on this one. When I asked about (post #283) that "some on the right are upset at Romney for not backing up somebody on his team".I meant them being upset about him not backing up the gay guy that worked for his campaign team,I didn't mean they were upset at Romney for not backing up trump.

@MrWhatsItToYa The ‘pet peeve’ is just the grammatical error that so many on here are using nowadays. No biggie, as I am getting used to it — whether I like it or not.
Oh good.I'm so glad you were somehow able to come to grips with it.And somehow find a way around it,to still be able to post.

it's like religion, no one is a die hard faithful to just one religion and a little of each faith can be taken
Ya I don't know if you are right about this one. From what I've heard a lot of religious fanatics are pretty set in what they believe in,and are insistent on their religion being right about everything.Sunnis and Shiites are the same religion, but they've been at odds for over 1,300 years just about how a successor should of been chosen when Muhammad died.Doesn't sound like they are willing to take a little of each to form their own opinion of what their religion should be.
And I guess, realistically why should they.If they believe their religious leaders, their word and teachings are directly from God.So why would they believe anyone else's religious believes,if they have gotten the word right from their own God?"Ya God,I'm gonna believe your word on this and that, but I'm gonna believe a different religion about these other issues.Sorry buddy, still love you though".Ya guy,I don't think that happens a lot.
