Targeted, Precision Drone Strikes & The Responsibility to Protect Act.

Two things of which you have not heard discussed in the media at the hearings today, or since Syrian debacle started.

Not only will Obama be given authorization as rand paul and many others at the hearing today thought, but there hasn't been much dissension in congress or the senate just petty whining mostly.

That senator from NM (D) Udall I think was really saying some stupid shiiit.  As were many others but the senator from CT wasn't making much sense either and kept referring to an all out war..

These people don't seem to understand that targeted drone strikes should be utilized in this situation and to their fullest extent.

This is the opportunity to show just how careful we can be with military technology.


Furthermore you have not heard much about the responsibility to act an emerging doctrine that we signed on too that prevent other sovereign nations innocent civilians from enduring unwarranted force, especially chemical weapons abuse violating many human rights but also defenseless population.

So the US has a responsibility to act here and act swiftly with proportionate and discriminant force, hence targeted drones.


This is and should be an extremely bipartisan agreement as we've seen Boehner and Cantor support President Barack Obama of the United States of America come to congress to take action.

Whose the "good guys" in this equation Stiln? I've said before the only action I would support is overwhelming force to accomplish a defined objective. I have yet to hear one other than the telegraphing of all the details. 90 days, no boots on the ground, targeted, blah, blah, blah. Then what, do we get the Muslim Brotherhood running another country (see Egypt)? Nothing to gain here other than poking our noses in someone else's civil war. I learned a lesson from Iraq (12 years later still blowing up wedding parties, innocents and a continued insurgency). I'm not being sold another bill of goods. I'm sorry for the 120K people killed in this thing but why now this is so urgent? I can't wait to hear the libs line up with the "No War" cry, "We weren't attacked", etc.

Bush had 70 countries, 17 U.N. resolutions & Congressional approval. He was a "cowboy" though when it went bad. I'm sure Obama twisting arms and the American public not supporting this will get a pass from the lefties and the press (as usual, see Bengazi, Fast & Furious, NSA scandal, IRS scandal, nothing sticks to him).

Obama doesn't need authorization from the congress. He didn't ask them about Libya but now that this doesn't have the Brits, NATO or UN support Obama wants someone else to back up his red line.

The good guys are the innocent syrian lives that have nothing to do with either side.  I'm not hear to ask you why doing nothing is bad because that would be deflecting, and even though a majority of americans dont support involvement in syria whatever the fuckk that means does not mean that they are right.. RtoP was used first in Libya actually and was extremely sucessful as we toppled the malicious regime and saved countless lives. So I am surprised RtoP has not gotten much attention here because it most certainly applies..

But to put it in simpler terms you have 3 facets to this doctrine...

1. A state has a responsibility to protect its population from genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity, and ethnic cleansing.

2. The international community has a responsibility to assist the state to fulfill its primary responsibility

3. If the state manifestly fails to protect its citizens from the four above mass atrocities and peaceful measures have failed, the international community has the responsibility to intervene through coercive measures such as economic sanctions. Military intervention is considered the last resort.

Again, this nation is NOT led by clueless fuckks at all. In fact Obama, Kerry, Bohner, Hagel, Cantor, Military Generals, etc.. are so clearly right on this issue, I am flabbergasted that you and about 60% of Americans are on the WRONG side on this one...

Not only would drones defuse any problems in this region but they are the ultimate humanitarian weapon and appear as our best option to use proportionate force in order to make an impact and not simply just send a message as Kerry put it.. Really brilliant hearing by Kerry and Co. today..

Not only has McCain acted so intelligently on this issue he has been extremely respectful and dignified when addressing Sarah Palin's ludicrous comments that only a moronic piece of garbage would intelligent. Thanks Stiln for minimizing the massacre of the Bengazi personnel, the first U.S. diplomat killed in decades came under the great one and Clinton's watch. Where' were they when this was going on? No photo's (like the Bin Laden photo op). What no film in the camera capturing them hanging our guys out to dry? Sure, non-scandal, just like your God says. No attempt whatsoever to send some assistance which alone should be an an impeachable offense. His first responsibility is to protect the citizenry of the U.S. at home or abroad. He was MIA.

If they were black, it would've of been a big uproar of how we don't protect our black diplomats like the white ones and so on. The story is bigger than Watergate (where no one died) but the government/media complex lives. The benghazi embassy attacks are petty in comparison to the 9/11 attacks that Bush and his inner circle of fuckking idiots are almost solely responsible for. Utilizing drones in this instance is not only the best idea but I wish we would deploy this brilliant technology way more often considering the amount of money we pump into these programs constructing billion dollar predators.

Argue till your eyes bleed, but Libya was a success, Kosovo was a success, Bosnia was a success.. all of which had either very little to none US soldiers on the ground.

But using targeted, surgical, precision drone strikes (or in this case other aerial warfare campaigns, which I disagree with because of the risk of more collateral damage) gets you all bent out of shape??


Because that is ALL Obama, Kerry, Hagel, and Co. are asking congress to approve.

It just never ends with this kid. 

Given our last two President's qualifications and accomplishments, it's easy for anyone to think they have a chance to be President. We had Bush who was not a good President at all and now we are stuck with an unqualified community organizer who can make a good speech (only off a teleprompter). He is good at dirty Chicago style politics of demonizing his opponent though. It's freaking amateur hour right in front of our eyes with this guy.

Now with Rand Paul, I'm not so sure what will happen there. He probably won't get enough of the far right base to make a serious run. I do think he would do well in a debate of issues though.
