I grew up poor in a very poor city. I lived in an area with blacks and whites. We didn't see each other as anything other than poor.
I was fortunate enough to do well in school and ended up in the peace corp where I traveled, among other places, to Somalia. I managed to survive there just fine.
I will have no problem in any situation because I view a man by the content of his character,
